Tomorrow, Autauga County Offices will be closed Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in observance of Juneteenth.

We are just a little over one year away from the 2025 Municipal elections. If you intend to run as a candidate in the 2025 municipal elections, please familiarize yourself with the reporting requirements for municipal candidates. Under certain conditions, the reporting requirements commence 12 months prior to the election. For questions or assistance, contact the Elections Division of the Office of the Secretary of State at 334.242.7210

If you are coming to visit the Probate Office in the next couple of hours, you may expect some delays on fifth Street. Please consider using a different route to our office.

✨ Team member spotlight ✨

While Willie is not an employee of the Probate Office , he is one of our honorary Probate Team members. Willie works for the Autauga County Commission but we consider him a part of our family.
Willie takes care of our office and our team members. He and his wife Sharon just celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. They have two sons and 2 grandchildren.
After retiring from the city of Prattville, Willie joined the Autauga County team and has been working for our county for the past five years.
When he is not working at the Probate Office, he enjoys spending time with his family, working in the yard, helping the elderly, and serving in the community.
Willie is always willing to lend a helping hand. He wears a constant smile and he brightens our day! We love Willie and his heart of gold!

Monday is Memorial Day, in observance of the holiday the county offices will be closed. Take time to remember the men and women who have sacrificed their lives in service to our country. Freedom Isn’t Free. 🌺

Probate Team Member Spotlight!
Brittney Petty works in our Recording Department and is our Election Assistant. Brittney became a team member in 2020. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, her daughter Kinsleigh, and stepsons Taylor and Grady. Their favorite family activity is going to the beach and the lake.

One of the many reasons, Brittney loves being a team member at the Probate Office is the opportunity to assist customers and serve our community in various ways. She is currently a member of the Adult Leadership Autauga County. Brittney also enjoys assisting with the Autauga County election process and is great at multitasking the many projects that Judge Kervin sends her way.

Brittney is also an amazing hair and makeup artist.
Brittney, thank you for all that you do for our county!

Each year during the week of May 15th, National Police Week recognizes law enforcement officers' contributions throughout the nation.

Every day they put on their uniforms, not knowing what the day holds. They have answered a call to public service that is demanding and often unappreciated. Thank you to our community heroes!

Just one day or week doesn’t seem like nearly enough time to express our gratitude for the selfless nurses in our community. Nurses play a vital role in how we assist people who present to the Probate Court in a mental health crisis and we are appreciate everything they do to assist Autauga County families.

We are excited about our new mural by Yellow Room and the home acquired from a local resident. This addition came from the request of many “weary” parents who visited our office with little ones in tow. We have received many so compliments about this addition, we thought we would highlight it again! This is just one of the ways our team is working to make your visit to our office as efficient and pleasant as possible!
As an additional highlight, the mural highlights our local fire and police heroes and encourages our youngest voters to exercise their right to vote!

Amberly West works in our Tags & Election department. Amberly has been a Probate team member for 1 1/2 years now. One of many reasons Amberly loves being a team member at the Probate office is the leadership and experiences that are given. Amberly likes to go to church, read, and spend time with family & friends. One interesting fact about Amberly is she is the 5th of 7 kids in her family! Also, tomorrow is Amberly’s Birthday! Let’s wish her a happy early birthday!! 🎉

Samantha Barr works in our Driver’s license department. You may also know her as Sam 😊 Sam has been a Probate team member for five years (six years in September!) One of many reasons that Sam loves being a team member at the Probate office is interacting with different people in the community on a daily basis and seeing how just a smile and being kind can brighten anyone’s day. On Sam’s free time she enjoys reading books, going for a walks, & loving her sweet cats. Interesting fact about Sam is she loves sloths.
