After a long day of rehearsals on Saturday, our company dancers enjoyed a season cast party complete with cake, ballet trivia, and appreciation for our graduating seniors .youngg, , .kravets, and . 🎉

Thank you to everyone who attended, and to our staff and Board of Trustees for contributing time and treats for the occasion. We can’t wait to see the dancers onstage this weekend! 🎭

PYB is pleased to welcome company member Itzkan Barbosa to perform two iconic solos in our upcoming performances of 🌱The Secret Garden.

Before joining BalletX, Ms. Barbosa performed as a full-time company member of and . She has danced masterworks by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, and Antony Tudor, and has performed with Dzul Dance and as a Principal Artist with Verzola Ballet.

Ms. Barbosa trained at Ballet Academy East and Miami City Ballet School after receiving her early training at the University of South Carolina Dance Conservatory and Carolina Ballet Center for Dance Education. Ms. Barbosa was awarded a full scholarship for summer study at Paris Opera Ballet School and has been highlighted by the Adrienne Arsht Center Mural Project in Miami in artwork painted by Brazilian Artist Eduardo Kobra.
