We wish to thank Mayor Smiley for being our guest speaker at today's You Be the Candidate program. He talked with youth about what it's like being Mayor, what it's like to campaign, what a political convention is like, and much more. Youth discussed their ideas for the future and what they would do if they were in office.
It's time for our annual Halloween Spooktacular at the Smith Hill Library! Fun for kids and adults! There will be crafts for all ages and Tarot Card readings for adults.
We want to thank Representative David Morales for moderating our student debate last Tuesday. Ms. Jennifer has been running "You Be the Candidate," a youth program on Tuesdays after school about civics and the election process in America. Congratulations to our young debaters for their very thoughtful platforms and speeches!
Discussion on the Proposed Providence College Master Plan

Join us at the Smith Hill Library for a meeting to review the proposed Providence College Institutional Master Plan.
The City Planning Commission (CPC) requires all colleges and universities to submit an updated master plan every five years. Providence College expects to present its proposed plan to the CPC sometime later this fall. Before we do, we invite neighbors of the community to review it with us and ask questions.
New Painting Workshop for adults starting Monday, October 21st from 2:00-3:30pm!

Join us for our upcoming Voter Education Sessions, where we’ll empower and inform our community members about the voting process, key election dates, and the importance of making their voices heard. These sessions are designed to provide voters with the knowledge they need to participate confidently in the upcoming elections.
What You Can Expect:
• Understanding the Voting Process: Learn about voter registration, voting methods, and important deadlines.
• Key Issues on the Ballot: Get informed about the critical issues and candidates that will shape our community’s future.
• Q&A with Experts: Have your questions answered by knowledgeable volunteers and local officials.
• How to Get Involved: Discover Ways to Volunteer and contribute to our Get Out the Vote efforts.
These sessions are open to all community members and are a great opportunity to get the information you need to vote with confidence.
