Our current Single Origin line-up! If you've never dove into the world of Single Origin coffee, it's an extremely special place to be. Single Origin means that beans for each roast come from a single farm or cooperative, which allows you to experience the nuances and flavors of a very specific, and for us, a very personal and loved place in the world.
We had so much fun teaming up with The Beehive Cafe, The Beehive Pantry, and Nobl Beverages to serve the Newport Folk Fest masses some cold brew! A huge thanks to the Nobl and Beehive teams for all of their hard work and friendship. We love you!
Looking to give your garden a little pick-me-up? The Nook Coffee House in East Greenwich is saving their spent coffee grounds for you to use as compost! Head on down, get a coffee, and ask their baristas about their complimentary compost bags. βοΈπͺ΄
Who's ready to get steam rolled? With darker notes of bittersweet chocolate, toasted nuts, and a hint of lemon with a creamy finish, it's easy to see why Steam Roller is a longtime favorite here at New Harvest. βοΈ
Be like .la.vida.mocha_ and swing by for a blackberry iced coffee!
Shhhh, we're going to tell you about Whisper. π€«
So, espresso is perhaps the most intense method for brewing coffee, utilizing massive amounts of pressure to deliver a very concentrated cup. While one may use any type of coffee to make espresso--from light roast to dark, single origin to blend--it can be hard to find balance with such an extreme brew method. Great coffee, especially under the microscope of espresso brewing, is a bit of a moving target, and beans change over time. Coffees grown on the same farm change from harvest to harvest.
Our Whisper Espresso blend is a delicious response to the intense nature of espresso brewing and the ever changing nature of coffee itself: as the harvest calendar progresses and new crops arrive, we make slight changes to this blend to maintain the rich, fruity, intricate character that makes Whisper special year after year.
TOP SECRET: It makes an excellent cup of drip coffee too! βοΈ
MONSTERS TAKE NOTE: We're open for business as usual today and we'll be closed for the 4th tomorrow, AND our new summer hours begin Friday!
PS - Sorry for posting incorrect summer hours earlier today. Clearly we hadnβt had our morning coffee yet.
If you love the deep, bold, and smoky flavors of a traditional dark roast, then Dark Roast of the Decade is the roast for you!
What we typically refer to as the coffee βbeanβ is actually the seed of a fruit known as the coffee cherry. One of the most crucial steps in the production of coffee is referred to as processing, where the fruit is removed to reveal the seed that we then import, roast, and brew. In most cases, this is accomplished using the βwetβ method where the cherries are stripped off the seed using water and agitation after which they are soaked in fermentation tanks to remove any remaining fruit material before drying. This process requires a lot of clean water and a certain amount of infrastructure. In regions where these things have historically been in short supply, coffee is often processed using the βdryβ method, called Natural Processing. Here, the coffee cherries are harvested and then dried with the fruit intact, resulting in a deep, full body, and an intensely fruity flavor profile that shines through the dark, smoky roast profile of our Dark Roast of the Decade.
These beans are from Guji, one of the zones of the Oromia Region of Southern Ethiopia known for producing some amazing natural coffees. This coffee tends to showcase some nice fruit-forward characteristics with a medium body along with all of the bold and smoky flavors of a traditional dark roast.
Cooling beans on a hot day. βοΈ

If you love a smooth and sweet light roast, then Las Palomas, our Single Origin from Tarrazu, Costa Rica is for you! With notes of green apple, marshmallow, and a hint of cocoa, Las Palomas has become a true NH coffee lover's favorite, and the story behind these beans is every bit as good.
Jorge and Carlos Monge are brothers who are third-generation owners of several carms in the Abarca area, including Las Palomas. They have enjoyed great success over the years in producing top quality Caturra and CatuaΓ varietals that have finished at the top of many international cupping competitions. The farm resides in the Tarbaca province of Tarrazu at approximately 6,000 feet with the perfect balance of sun and shade. Jorge and Carlos are quite content to alternate the title of best cupping coffee year in and year out, and we're honored to work with them.
