On Monday, Phase 1 of the massive prison site redevelopment project, dubbed “The Point” was announced and even memorialized by a ceremonial signing at Clearlink Headquarters between The Point of the Mountain State Land Authority (POMSLA) and partner developers. The ceremonial signing signifies the start of a $2.3 billion investment into the 600-acre former Utah State Prison site. The Point, which is situated between Salt Lake and Utah counties, proposes a mix of commercial real estate, retail, entertainment, a wide array of housing options, hotels, and educational facilities.
The Utah Valley Chamber is excited to partner with The Point in promoting growth and prosperity for the region, as the development is surrounded by more than 20,000 acres of undeveloped land in area communities. Burgess Owens Holly Sweeten-SWFL Real Estate Experts

Utah County is home to the North America Production Headquarters of Lakanto, a thriving international company which manufactures a sugar substitute made from the monkfruit.
The fruit has been used as a sweetener for more than 1,000 years. Tibetan monks moved to the highlands of China and grew the fruit that was soon called the monk’s fruit and later monkfruit.
Lakanto has developed this natural sweetener into a variety of products including cake mixes, BBQ sauces, chocolate bars and more. The monkfruit sugar alternative was originally invented as a way to help people battling diabetes.
Lakanto's mission statement: “is to bring chi to all life by creating innovative, delicious, sugar-free products. We inspire people to reach their highest potential in health and wellness by helping them discover their chi.”
Congratulations for receiving the Business of the Month honors from the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce. Lakanto
