Our family here at North Street Nursery and farm is so thankful for the continued community support of our small business but what often goes unsaid is the support we get and give to other local small businesses either by referrals , purchases or marketing support . We’d like to take the time during this holiday season to highlight these businesses and thank them for the ongoing support of our small business , and teaming up with us to build our community .We truly believe that small businesses supporting small businesses not only creates a larger network but most importantly builds unity and strength in our small community ❤️
It will take us sometime to get though the list and hopefully we don’t miss anyone . We are starting with these 4 awesome
small businesses in no specific order of awesomeness. These businesses unlike us are open all year please take the time to give them support by stopping in or visiting their pages and following them .Thank you all!!

When shopping for a fresh tree this year please try to buy from
a local tree farm that grows them, not a business that ships in product🌲🌲
These local farms put so much work to grow beautiful local trees.
🌲🌲🌲Its a simple question to ask yourself when buying , whether it’s hanging baskets or trees ,did they grow this or ship it in from somewhere ? ❤️
Here’s a list for Oswego County I’m sure there are tree farms in Jefferson county etc . Feel free to tag them.
Our family is so thankful for each of you ,have a blessed holiday 🦃
Save the date !
We’ve had such good feedback and turnout for our first annual greenhouse fall market / festival we decided it has to be a thing . We’ve went back and forth on dates , and decided on Sunday September 15th 2024 . We think the weather was so beautiful this year we want to keep it in the middle of September .We moved it to Sunday due to a private event here on Saturday .Of course all the awesome talented vendors that believed in us this year will have first bids on participating and location of setup . We will have another new large greenhouse open for more indoor vendors, as well as expanding the outdoor space .We have already started the planning, so much to add!
🛑Remember this event is not about us making any money off our vendors we will however hold a refundable deposit for the space and parking and admission is free for the community. This event is about community support of our local artisans and small businesses. You will be able to reserve your spot after the first of the year , note we will not be accepting duplicate vendors so make sure you’re quick on the application when available . 😊
Sunday September 15th !
Looking forward to growing these monsters.
The boss is taking the last of the 14” out 🌸

This Friday & Saturday is the local holiday shop hop.Although we are closed for the season we encourage you once again to please support your local small businesses and avoid box stores. Small local businesses give so much back to the community we live in ways of donations , fundraisers / benefits , sponsorships , taxes etc . We also offer a unique product you typically can’t find somewhere else .
Thank you so much everyone 😊
Happy Holidays 🌲 See you in April 🌸

Wedding Florals
Those of you that are dropping off your window planters and deck rails for early planting for spring 2024 please clean them before dropping them off . Basically we ask please don’t bring them full of soil .
Also to help us plan our new growing space please let us know if you’re planning on dropping them off , and if you have specific plant combos in mind .
Drop off would need to be arranged before December for early planting.
For spring drop off we ask to drop them the beginning of May. Remember there is no charge for planting
Thank you so much 😊 here’s some inspiration pictures
Oh Kim this gets me every time, this might be a window combo this spring for us ! 😍
A look back at what was in the window boxes last year! I’m sure you are as ready for Spring as I am! I thought this would brighten your day! This combination is Yellow Nemesia, Pink Geraniums, Double Blue Calibrachoa and Creeping Jenny.
Thank you everyone !!
Gearing up for the Farm Bureau’s youth fundraiser .
Stay Tuned
We are cutting the last of our dahlias and zinnias, for the youth agricultural benefit here at the nursery tomorrow . We also collaborated with 4 other local flower farms, we will post tomorrow ❤️
As for our tubers they were purchased from Petals In Bloom in Williamstown .
Last time we made these they were for a guest favor for a event last year , today for a fall festival . They are time consuming but so fun.
Care …Just spritz the moss once a week and after the gourd is done ( weeks later ) then the succulents can be transplanted .
We have offered the use of our greenhouse for this fundraiser for youth agricultural education. If you like trivia and want to support local farming consider reaching out to the farm bureau for a ticket . The event is being catered by North Country Events , it’s a great price for a night out of raffles, trivia and dinner all while supporting a good cause . https://www.facebook.com/oswegocountyfarmbureau?mibextid=LQQJ4d
Good information on mums .This is why we like our mums budding at sale they last longer than the ones in full bloom at the box stores . Also they stand the best chance of returning the following season when planted early .
We hope to see everyone next fall for mums , we will grow more.We could of bought wholesale and sold so many more but we take pride in growing the product.
We want thank you for helping us sell out early, you’re all awesome . https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=709804344514218&set=a.600548018773185&type=3&mibextid=cr9u03

All our garden friends who don’t watch Laura on YouTube please check her out . She has been a inspiration to us over the years . I recommend watching her old videos and following her as she grows . She started very small and now has such a beautiful property full of ideas.

The air is getting cooler outside, so it is time to decide which plants you want to winter over indoors. In this article, we have ranked plants by the ease of wintering over, and there is an outline of all the steps involved until that plant can return to the great outdoors. Lots of great info right here-->> pwwin.rs/CanIKeepIt
So many beautiful options in Proven Winners colors 😍 Let the fun begin .
Guys the pictures don’t do it justice 😳 This will be 3x the space of the 50 year old one you’ve been shopping in. Super excited to share this space with you all in the spring.
Something to think about for containers . The evergreen adds all season impact and the base can be changed out for the season . Look in comments at ours , they lasted from early spring until fall and trees were in the pots for 4 years .
Enjoy the containers outside your front door year-round! All it takes is a simple refresh of the plants each season...find our suggestions and tips right here >>> pwwin.rs/MultiSeason
Throw back from a bridal shoot done here at the nursery . Vibrant colors look so good in a greenhouse 🤗
We have 15 bales of dry straw in the barn left to sell, message us if you’d like it.
Happy wedding day ❤️ All fresh flowers , full of color.

To our amazing community, We are so grateful for your support of our small business and all our local small businesses/ artisans that participated in our first annual Fall Greenhouse Market. The outpouring of support was amazing ! Thank you for your kind words and encouragement and your trust and loyalty in our nursery as we continue to grow and make improvements each year .
Also huge thank you to all these amazing vendors listed below and businesses that put their trust in us and gave up their day to join us in our first annual vendor event . We loved each and everyone of you !
Lastly thank you for the patience in the unexpected outpouring support and traffic . Things we learned for next year , definitely more parking, grow more mums , grow more pumpkins, more food trucks and have more kids events .
Because of the vendor donations for raffle sales we are able to make a donation to the Pulaski community Cupboard .
Not many pictures during the busiest time but here’s a few at the end of the event .
