Join us September 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the North Grand Avenue Greenway in celebration of community and ecological restoration along Missouri Flat Creek near Downtown Pullman in a landscape transformed by native plants, music, and poetry! The event will feature musical works by faculty and students inspired by 20 native plant species focal to the creek restoration.
One wetlands’ star most of us are familiar with is the cattail/bulrush. Sian Ritchie of WSU’s School of Biological Sciences will lead attendees on a hands-on activity at this event on September 14 at 5:00 p.m. in CUE 202.

Join WSU Common Reading for a screening of "Gather" in CUE 203 at 4:30 p.m. August 30! Gather follows the stories of natives on the frontlines of a growing movement to reconnect with spiritual and cultural identities that were devastated by genocide.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the passing of Title IX legislation and its impact on making educational programs and services more equitable. This 2018 documentary specifically looks at creation of this bill and its impact on collegiate sports through the lens of the University of Hawaii women’s volleyball program, which echoes in many ways the experience of women athletes and their coaches at Washington State University. Hosted by the Association for Faculty Women and the WSU Pullman Common Reading Program.

An online reading by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and author Natalie Diaz will be the Common Reading Invited Lecture event for 2021-22, followed by a question-and-answer session. Diaz received the coveted Pulitzer Prize for Original Verse in 2021 for her book Postcolonial Love Poem. One of her poems, "American Arithmetic," is featured in this year's Common Reading book, Tales of Two Americas.
