Jacque is the Violence Prevention Coordinator in the Center for Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention at the University of South Florida, Tampa campus. She has developed, implemented, and evaluated anti-violence programs and initiatives in both campus and community-based contexts. In her current work, she is interested in supporting student-led prevention education efforts and designing accessible, culturally relevant programs. We hope to see you there! 💚

Dr. Russell Kirby is distinguished university professor and Marrell endowed chair in the USF College of Public Health. Trained in human geography and epidemiology, he has worked in academic medicine, public health and public health practice for more than 40 years. Most of his work in perinatal and pediatric epidemiology takes a population health approach. He has applied this perspective to his work on birth defects surveillance, epidemiology, and systems of care for children and families with birth defects. At USF, Dr. Kirby directs the Birth Defects Surveillance Program, a partnership with the Florida Birth Defects Registry at the Florida Department of Health.

11/19 training will be a panelist discussion on Men’s Mental Health and the Importance of Fathers! Guys and girls are both strongly encouraged to attend. The event is from 11a-2p at the MSC room #3711. Good will be provided. Please RSVP by 11/14.
Men are such an important piece of the puzzle and are sometimes left out of MCH. We want to be a part of the movement to raise awareness on men’s health during the preconception period and the important role they have as a future father (just as much as a mom).
