๐The more you know๐
Since its founding in 1905 by Abby Williams Hill of Tacoma, an artist who saw the need for an organization to support Washingtonโs children and youth, grassroots advocacy has been at the core of Washington State PTA. In addition to coining the term โpreschoolโ and mentoring parents of toddlers long before early childhood education was accepted and expected, WSPTA was instrumental in promoting the use of seatbelts, making Breakfast After the Bell a reality, securing the passage of the โsimple majorityโ amendment to the state constitution in 2007, and so much more.

Great resource for summer food and activities.
Today we celebrate the birth of a nation and the blessings of liberty.๐ We wish you all a fun filled and SAFE Independence Day!
Itโs easy to add art into the things you may already be doing this summer. Take photos of nature while on a walk, turn your driveway into a mural with washable chalk or make a cool dance routine to your fav summer jam! Find more arts activities you can create at home at PTA.org/ArtsEd.
What a fantastic year we've had, and it's all thanks to your support! We were so fortunate to have 90+ amazing volunteers who donated over 1000 hours of their time planning, setting up, and accomplishing 17 student events, 4 general membership meetings, and 6 staff appreciation events.
And if you think that is impressive, just wait until you see what we have planned for the 2024-2025 school year!!!๐๐
We hope you have a wonderful and safe summer break whether its filled with amazing adventure or restful relaxation! Enjoy!

Let's crunch the numbers: over the course of the 23-24 school year, we've held 23 Popcorn Days, raising over $3600 for grade levels and the library. That's over 15 THOUSAND popcorn orders! Wow, way to go, Thunderbirds!
We'd also like to send out a tremendous THANK YOU to all the volunteers who graciously donated their time and energy to Popcorn Days throughout the year. We truly couldn't make this happen without you! We appreciate you!
