Meet Lyndi!

Full disclosure, Lyndi and I (Ambyr) worked together as LMTs about 15 years ago, so I knew she’d be an amazing asset to our team. But, as a wife and busy mom of 5 (yes, 5!!!) it took a little while for MELT to fit into her life. And we are so thankful to have her with us now! 🤩

Lyndi loves being a massage therapist! Which is one of the many reasons she is so good at her job. When she’s not working or spending time with her family, she enjoys art and learning new things - like her newest hobby - learning how to tattoo!

Amanda joined the team and quickly gained quite a following. 🤲 No surprise there as she is a thoughtful LMT who has mastered the skill of a therapeutic treatment, which is also deeply relaxing.🫠

When she isn’t bringing happiness and a breath of health and relaxation to her clients (as she puts it 💓) she enjoys reading, learning new things, anything cat 🐈 related and spending time with her husband.

~ Massage Aftercare ~

HYDRATE💧Drinking plenty of water post massage is very helpful in rehydration. It helps to flush out lactic acid and metabolic waste that accumulates as your muscles are worked during a massage.

REST😌😴 Avoid strenuous activity for up to 24 hours post massage. Choose light walking or gentle yoga. Listen to your body, this is your time to repair and re-tune yourself.

DIET🥗🥑 Choosing the right foods post massage is crucial in muscle repair. The muscles may need extra support to heal especially after deep tissue or sports massages. Consuming foods high in sugar, preservatives or artificial additives can increase inflammation and hinder the body’s natural healing process.

STRETCH🧘‍♀️🙆🏼‍♀️ During a massage the adhesions in your muscles have been warmed up so stretching afterwards will enable you to further reap the benefits. Stretching works to realign your muscle fibers and improve muscle recovery.

HEAT/ICE🔥🧊 You may apply ice for the first 48 hours then switch to heat to help your muscles relax. It is highly recommended to apply ice after a deep tissue massage and any time you feel pain. It will assist in the recovery process and reduce inflammation.
Applying heat immediately post massage can increase inflammation.

Nikki has been our Clinic Coordinator for a little bit now. While she mostly works behind the scenes, you might hear from her on the phone, via email, or see her friendly face around the studio gathering social content and more! 🤍

She truly does a little bit of everything. I like to joke that she is MELT’s and my new bestie! ✨

When Nikki isn’t helping the studio run smoothly, you will probably find her baking a delicious treat, on a walk with her daughter & Husband or dreaming of Summer - which is her favorite season! ☀️
