Grateful for the support he received as a master’s student at Villanova, Deepu Talla, PhD, ’98 MSEE has made a gift to the College of Engineering to create the Dr. S. S. Rao Memorial Endowed Graduate Fellowship. Starting this fall, Talla’s generosity will fund the tuition and living expenses for graduate students in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

Today, we reflect upon the tragic events in American history that took the lives of 15 Villanovans. A stained-glass window memorial in Corr Hall memorializes them, and all who lost their lives that day.

The Augustinian values instilled in Kim Shaughnessy-Granger ’97 FCN, ’17 DNP (pictured right) during her time at Villanova provided the foundation for a leadership philosophy that has guided her career in the Navy Nurse Corps. Currently the Commanding Officer and Director of the Naval Health Clinic in Annapolis, Maryland, Shaughnessy-Granger serves the University community as a member of the VUAA Board of Directors and remains closely engaged with the Villanova Veterans Affinity Network and M. It is with great sadness that Villanova University mourns the loss of Michael Gaynor, Executive Director of Undergraduate Admission, who passed away on Thursday, Aug. 15. Michael had a tremendous impact on the University and countless Villanovans over his 42 years at the institution. Michael’s passing is a significant loss for the Villanova and the entire college admission community.
