Prayer Buddies is a unique, community-focused tradition that connects 8th graders with kindergarteners several times throughout the school year, which creates a long-lasting impact on both students.

St. Francis parish is now accepting registrations for the 34th season of the St. Francis Youth Basketball League. Participants shall have a spirit of loyalty to Catholic ideals, to parish, to coach, and to the team. The program enables the gifted to excel and the less gifted to participate and improve.This program is open to girls and boys grades 1st to 8th.

Throughout the year, our Middle School Student Council Sponsors $1 dress out days. For a donation of $1, students may dress out and the money will be donated to a charity decided by our Student Council.
Our first $1 Dress out will be on Tuesday, September 10th, and will benefit Tunnels to Tower. Show your Patriotism and wear red, white, and blue! ❤️🤍💙

lacrosse will start our after-school lacrosse sessions for sixth through eighth graders this Thursday, September 5. Bring your gear and meet in the Siena Breezeway after dismissal.

Pizza Bingo is a fun-filled, family-friendly evening of playing bingo while enjoying pizza!
Pizza Bingo will take place on Friday, September 27th, in Jacoba. Tickets will go on sale Sunday, September 8th.
Tickets usually sell out quickly, so make your plans now! Tickets are required for anyone of any age who is attending, and each ticket includes four bingo cards, water and lemonade. Pizza will be available for pre-order when you purchase your tickets.

At , students are paired with reading buddies, giving students the opportunity to connect with other students in school.
Today, our 6th graders met their 2nd grade buddies and by the looks of it, they’ll have a fun year of reading!
The HSA is the Home and School Association of The Franciscan School. Our mission is to support the spiritual and educational objectives of TFS in the spirit of Christian friendship and appreciation of Catholic education.
Our first general meeting for the 2024-25 school year will be Wednesday, September 25 from 6:30-8:00pm in Jacoba. Our guest speakers will be our school counselors, Laureen Wacenske and Virginia Blum.
We are excited to announce that Odyssey of the Mind is returning for the 2024-2025 school year.
Parent Interest Meetings will be held on Wednesday, September 4th from 8:00-9:00 PM and Thursday, September 5th from 8:00-9:00 PM *virtually* for parents of students in grades 3-5. Please attend just one meeting. This meeting is required for anyone whose child is interested in joining TFS Odyssey of the Mind. We will explain the associated fees, time commitment and try-out process. We will also discuss volunteer opportunities for parents. Odyssey of the Mind club meetings will be held on Thursdays from 3:15-5:00. Try-Outs for students will be held after school on September 12th and 19th.

Parents - don't forget about the upcoming Parent Information Nights!
Middle School Parent Information night will be held on Monday, August 26 beginning at 6:00pm in the gym. Schedules for the evening will be distributed at this time. The evening will conclude at 7:30 pm.
Elementary School Parent Information Night is scheduled for Tuesday, August 27. Plan on attending one session per child.
- Session 1 from 6:00-6:30 PM in your child’s homeroom followed by meeting Specials teachers in Jacoba from 6:30-6:45 PM.
- Session 2 from 6:45-7:15 PM in your child’s homeroom followed by meeting Specials teachers in Jacoba from 7:15-7:30 PM.

You can then relink your card if you have signed up before, or search to add The Franciscan School (our code is 4140). Harris Teeter requires you to re-link your account each year, so even if you have linked your account in the past you will need to click the link to reactivate your account for the new school year. When you shop with your VIC Card, you will earn money for our school.
Join Club Publix. Log in to your Club Publix account and select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Choose Publix Partner to search for The Franciscan School.
