Transitions Kids

Transitions Kids received a $2,000 grant from the Ladies of Philoptochos Society at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. This grant supports our hospice, palliative care and bereavement services for kids and their families. Since 2016, the Ladies have raised more than $54,000 for Transitions LifeCare and our Kids program! My name is Siena Buckley (she/her) and I am a Pediatric Palliative Care Specialist (Family Support) with a background in social work. I’ve been with TK since July 2021 and I have loved every minute of it! When I’m not at work, you can find me on a walk with my fiancé and our 1yo puppy, meeting friends at new restaurants around Raleigh, traveling to fun places, and cheering on the Wolfpack!

I have been a nurse for four years now, with a background in Pediatric ICU and Pediatric Cardiology nursing before I worked with TK. Outside of work, my most favorite thing to do is spend time with my friends, family, and fiancé! I also love beach trips, adding to my vinyl record collection, and trying new coffee shops around the triangle :)

I feel so fortunate to be a part of this team and to get to work with such incredible families. Meet the Transitions Kids Team!🌟
My name is Emily Parker, and I am one of the Pediatric Palliative Care Specialists with a background in Nursing with Transitions Kids. I started part time about 5 years ago but loved it so much I upgraded to full time. Recently I became one of the preceptors to help educate new employees and student learners about pediatric palliative and hospice care. Prior to my role with Transitions Kids, I worked in pediatric bone marrow transplant for almost 20 years. My husband and I recently celebrated our 17th anniversary. We have 3 kids together, a son and two daughters. When I am not at work you can likely find me on the soccer sidelines, doing laundry, or reading a book (please give me any recommendations). We enjoy road tripping together and have visited every state east of the Mississippi River. A couple of our favorite places are Acadia and Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. We are hoping to explore farther west soon.

My name is Jaclyn McKinley! I’m very new to the TK team, but I’m excited to be here. I’m a full-time flight nurse that transports babies and kids and I enjoy helping kids and families through TK when I’m not in the helicopter. I have a couple of fur babies of my own - Harper is a golden retriever and Elsa and Bella are kitties. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and being outside! My favorite season is fall and my favorite color is purple!
