Happy Thanksgiving from RRC! We are continually grateful for our hard working staff and dedicated participants. All Rose Research Center offices will be closed today, November 23, and tomorrow, November 24th for the holiday. On October 19th, RRC was honored to host the 2023 Ni****ne & To***co Science Conference in Durham, North Carolina. The event featured engaging presentations and insightful panel discussions led by some of the foremost experts in the field of to***co science, complemented by a thought-provoking poster session. It was a moment of pride for RRC as many of our dedicated staff members participated, and we are immensely proud of the remarkable contributions made by all involved!

Introducing our Clinical Trial Material Technician, Amanda Mitchell! Amanda has been a part of the RRC team for 4 years, but she previously worked with Dr. Rose at the Duke Center for Smoking Cessation for 7 years. Her journey began as a Behavioral Technician, a role similar to the Research Assistants here at RRC. After one year, Amanda transitioned into Data Management, where she served as the Data Specialist for 2 years before stepping into the role of Data Manager, which she held for 4 years before leaving to become a stay-at-home mom. We recently had the privilege of welcoming Amanda back as a part of our CTM team!
Director of Quality Assurance, Al Salley, Jr., speaks highly of Amanda: "Amanda has been a colleague and friend for almost 20 years. She has a wide range of experience in the research we do, from being a Research Assistant, to Data Management to CTM. Amanda is an essential part of our team, and It's so wonderful to be working with her again!"
