My passion has always been about helping people since my daddy was sick as a teenage girl. I knew the simple things I did he loved and it felt good to be able to help him in a small measure. As a nurse, I feel this same passion as I help people in their illnesses. I love the medical field and how quickly we can respond to life threatening events. However, we have become so engrossed in treating th

You know your child best, momma…and dad. I constantly say this to parents when they have come to me for the “something just isn’t right” situations.
Unfortunately, doctors won’t have the time to spend with their patients to talk about root causes. It’s often a prescription that is given instead of perhaps looking deeper into what is causing the symptom.
Remember….you mom and dad….know your child way better than any practitioner. So when something doesn’t “feel right” or “sound right”, don’t hesitate to look further and ask questions. You won’t be sorry.
❤️Travel light….
"We all have a bag. We all pack differently. Some of us are traveling light. Some of us are secret hoarders who’ve never parted with a memory in our lives. I think we are called to figure out how to carry our bag to the best of our ability, how to unpack it, and how to face the mess. I think a part of growing up is learning how to sit down on the floor with all your things and figuring out what to take with you and what to leave behind." - Ary⠀
What's holding you back from being the best you? The weight of other's opinions? The weight of your own fear? The weight of self-doubt? The weight of other's expectations or your own expectations? The weight of past experiences that hurt you?⠀
Can we just sit on the floor, and unpack a few thing together? It feels so good to just leave those feelings behind. It is so freeing! I can't quite explain the feeling in words but I do know I feel as light as a feather when I let things go and leave the things that don't serve me behind. ⠀
Ok….and….GO! Can’t wait!

Anyone love Ningxia Red like I do? Ningxia Red was one of the first products I tried (after Thieves) for my sore feet which the doctor called 'osteoarthritis'. I can't make any claims but what I do know is my pain went away after drinking this and if I didn't drink it, I limped. I later learned that because it is chalked full of anti-oxidants, it can help support our body systems in some amazing ways.
Later, I discovered getting off sugars and changing my diet helped even more. Now I don't have to drink it daily. I do drink it when I need a boost of energy or boost of immunity!

Seasons first peonies! ❤️ This is year 4 and each year they give me more W😍W factor! Spring brings me so much joy with all the blooms.
What is bringing you joy today?
This momma came to me about a month ago sick and tired of being drug to dead end stops with her daughters allergies. No answers….just more meds and the sneezing and sniffling and symptoms were still there. She was ready to try a different approach and she was ALL in!!!
++++++
It warms my heart to get feedback weeks into their protocol that there are changes being seen. It may not be huge changes but for a momma who has seen no changes at all, any small change is huge. I’ve helped many moms on this journey and it pulls on my heart strings EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Just for the record, I never take anyone off their medication. That is up for the parent to discuss with their medical doctor.
Brene Brown is an amazing author and podcaster that I have enjoyed listening to the last few years. She is the vulnerability and shame researcher and expert.
Listen to her TED talk:
Her definition of shame is (NOT GUILT), but it is a “intensely painful feeling or experience of believing that we are flawed and therefore unworthy of love and belonging.”
If shame thrives in secrecy, silence and judgement and EMPATHY is the antidote to shame, I wonder if we can learn more about empathy. The two most powerful words in struggle is ‘me too’. We have to get in to the arena and be vulnerable. It won’t be comfortable but vulnerability isn’t. Vulnerability is courage….not weakness. ❤️
❤️ This girl and her friends! I’m so proud of them. Ending 8th grade and headed to high school. A fun 8th grade social night….but let’s take just a few pictures prior. 🤪. I’ll spare you to just a few.…I promise.

Repost from
These past couple of years have brought on some emotional challenges that I have had to work through. Can you relate?
Thankfully, having tools and learning certain techniques has helped me cope so much better than I used to.
When I had a friend ask me recently, “what do you really do in your health and wellness business?”, I realized I had failed in sharing some wonderful tools to so many of my friends and relatives.
This inspired me to create a class centered around self-care. I was surprised by the amount of women interested in the event. We had our event this past weekend and the outpouring of love and support of these women was absolutely incredible. We have no idea the struggles people are facing.
We talked about nutrition, and healthy sleep habits, morning routines to help get your day started on the right foot, daily practices, exercise, tapping, sauna treatments, and a host of modalities that are all are thrown into the bucket of SELF-CARE!
If you can answer ‘YES’ to any of these questions, I would love to help point you in the right direction. Or maybe you’d like to do a similar event for you and your friends.
✅Do you have trouble sleeping?
✅ Do you need a boost of energy?
✅ Would you like some tools to help boost your mood?
✅ Do you find yourself feeling your joy isn't full?
✅ Do you want to feel less stressed when faced with daily life stressors?
✅ Are you open to learning about new ways to help take care of you?
*This class/event doesn’t include blood work or the body scans I do with my regular clients but it does give you huge insight on the education and guidance I can help you with.

Enjoy the moments. Drop a❤️ if you agree.

And friend…if you need some help in knowing where to start, please let me know. ❤️Jordan
When I was a Physical Therapy student I did an internship at a hospital in Houston that was world renowned for its treatment in heart disease.
On the very first floor of this hospital was a McDonald’s.
I remember seeing nurses, doctors and other health care professionals eating lunch there and thinking…
“Something is not right.”
On one occasion I treated a patient who asked me to take him down for a Big Mac shortly after he had heart surgery.
This felt icky to me. I became confused.
At that time… I knew very little about nutrition but I could definitely sense that fast food was not healthy food.
Why would this type of food be allowed in a hospital where the focus should be on health?
My skepticism of the conventional healthcare model grew when I began treating patients in outpatient Physical Therapy…
I’d work with people who we’re dealing with musculoskeletal issues such as herniated disks, sciatica, neck pain, shoulder pain and so on…
As I’d take their history I’d always ask them how their pain started and what they first did about it. 9 times of 10 their answer was…
“Oh… I took pain meds.”
This was frustrating to me and I began seeing that we had a health care system that was more interested in treating symptoms rather getting to the root issue.
My education as a Doctor of Physical Therapy taught me that most of physical pains people experience are a result of musculoskeletal imbalances and poor movement patterns.
If I educated patients about this, taught them the right exercises and restored proper movement there was no need for them to numb their pain with medications.
It also saved them from having a costly surgery down the road… which I was seeing didn’t always have positive outcomes.
Later in my career I began doing Home Health Physical Therapy and worked with people who we’re not functionally independent to the point where they could drive to a clinic on their own.
I treated many people with cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, and morbid obesity.
As I’d walk in their homes I’d carefully observe the environment and began making connections…
I noticed the way the home smelled, the foods in the pantry, what was being watched on TV and the messages that we’re being sent.
I began seeing my patients as people who had been brainwashed into eating toxic foods and taking pills to treat symptoms.
My breaking point came when I treated an obese child with diabetes.
When I walked in her home I saw a mother and father who both sat in electrical wheel chairs worth over $20k.
Her brother was also obese and had little energy.
I looked over at the kitchen counter and saw nothing but fruit loops and a thick row of mediations for both the children and parents.
I then watched an obese nurse come in and give each family member an injection.
I became sad.
At that point I knew that I could no longer work in this system. I felt incredibly out of alignment and knew that something had to change.
Ever since then I’ve made it my life’s mission to help people restore their natural health through better ways of eating, moving, thinking and being in this world.
The truth is that we have a healthcare system that knows nothing about food and a food industry that knows nothing about health.
Many of our healthcare issues that we’re challenged with have much more to do with our environment that they do genetics.
We’ve been treating symptoms rather than going after the root cause. It hasn’t been so much about “healthcare” as it is about “sick care.”
It’s as if we’ve been busy trying to mop up the floor without having the awareness that what we most need to do is turn off the kitchen sink.
This is why we're in a health crisis.
The time to take responsibility for your health and ultimately your life is NOW.
No one can do this for you.
Do not get tricked into identifying yourself as a diagnosis given to you by a healthcare system that has radically missed the mark.
You are NOT your diagnosis.
You’re a human being who needs…
REAL whole foods
Lot of water
Consistent movement
Plenty of rest
Time to breathe

… and Community

“Have patience. Dear friend, please have patience. I know it’s so hard to wait here because it seems like every single day, there is something new to fear. There is something new to worry about.
And at the same time, you have managed to keep going, anyway. Even with the questions you thought would be obstacles, you made it another day. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but this is how you are learning to trust. You are slowly beginning to see it is possible to be present to this life, right here in the waiting.
You don’t always have the words for it, and that’s okay. Grace will find you, anyway...unmerited favor that meets you where you are.
Over and over again, you have realized that even where there were no words, no answers, and all you could hear were your own prayers echoing back to you, the hours passed and morning Light poured through. You were reminded, in a wordless, subtle way: you are not alone here.
Have patience. Be still. So much is unknown, and this is also true: all by grace, you are still traveling through. There is so much more to you.” thank you for this reminder!

You know what’s better than making a wreath? Making a wreath with a good friend.
We got our creative juices flowing and ended up with our fall wreaths. ❤️you Julie. So thankful for that that is close! 😂
What kind of creative projects do you like to do or would you rather just purchase? I dabble in a little bit of both. 😅
❤️
I love experimenting with propagations. Do you? I got a clipping from my SIL .briana and decided to try propagating them after seeing ZZ plants with just leaves stuck in the soil. That got me thinking.
So that’s what I did…stuck 2 leaves in the soil back in May and just watered a TBS or so every few days.
My curiosity got the best of me today and look what has happened. Roots!!!! Super excited.
I now have 6 leaves in water to see if it happens faster.
I do have patience but goodness….these ZZ plants take forever to grow.
Do you have any tips for propositions or ZZ plants?
“NO DAY SHALL ERASE YOU FROM THE MEMORY OF TIME.” Inside the memorial at ground zero. I stood here 2 years ago with an utter pit in my stomach to think of the thousands of lives lost and the thousands and thousands that lost family members that day.
It made me wonder what am I doing with my life today? Would I live differently if I knew it would end tomorrow? So much to reflect on. It makes me squeeze my loved ones harder. It makes me realize that I have so much to be thankful for. It makes me understand that life is short at best and so grateful we are living for a life beyond this one.
I will never forget the day 20 years ago…less than 2 months away from getting married…working in the ED…staring at the TV in the nurses lounge with my coworkers in total disbelief as they spoke about the first tower being hit and then watching as the second tower was hit. Utter shock. I will never forget and those memories cannot be erased.
I am head over heels excited about my September magazine. Whose with me? 🥰

your reaction to mean and unpleasant people is 100% yours. your response to them belongs completely to you.
many times you will have to dig deep to give kindness to people who are rude, difficult or attack you. when people attack me (usually online) for the most part i ignore which neutralizes any potential conflict.
but sometimes we need to respond and when we do try using this strategy. take ownership of your response. when someone attacks you they unknowingly give away all their power and hand it over to you and wait for your “counter-attack.” this puts you in full control. show them in this moment how beautiful your heart is and how much love is growing inside. show them your goodness, strength and maturity. and now it’s game over. you win! 🙌🏻🎉

We had a long drive recently to Nashville and usually I have to drive because I get sick in the mountains with the windy roads. Well, I did the aroma-rings and let me tell you...I am super impressed! I was able to look at my phone as the passenger and I didn't get sick.
As the oil dried up, I added more Aroma Ease. It's a soft plastic ring that attaches to your nose or ear. 8 in a box and totally reusable.
Some people like to have the car diffuser going with peppermint too but I didn't need that. Hope this helps you...if not you...then pass along to someone who might!
Life can’t always be controlled but the way you let others make you feel can be. Sometimes you should spend all your energy focusing on what you can control and letting go of everything else.
So with situations that arise, ask yourself:
1. Does ‘this thing’ matter?
2. Can I control ‘this thing’?
If you can answer ‘yes’ to both questions, then it is what you should focus on.
For example, getting angry or impatient sitting in traffic: Does this matter? Well, YES…it does because I need to get where I am going quickly and I’m going to be late. BUT, can I control it? mmm, NOPE…..so let it go. Turn on a podcast, some music, or whatever you enjoy to pass the time and LET IT GO!
Things you can control:
* Talking to yourself positively
* The way you talk to those around you
* The amount of physical exercise you give your body
* The food you nourish your body with
* Your level of honesty
* Whether you are a listener or a talker
* How often you smile every day
* The time you spend worrying about irrelevant things
* The amount of love you give your children
* Whether you see the glass half empty or half full
* How mindful you want to be
* How you make other people feel about themselves
* Having a generous heart
* Allowing yourself to ask for help
* Offering help in return
* Whether you judge people or accept people
* Having an open heart to receive true love
* Whether you believe in yourself
* Your words
* Your thoughts

A date with my man child because this momma needed some time with him. The more I get to know him, the more I love his heart. I love listening to all his feelings and hearing his excitement about his future. I always am in awe of his kindness, wisdom, tenderness and sensitivity. And yet in it all….he is just a fun filled humorous kid. I learn so much from him.
1. Season of winter – sadness, heartbreak, loneliness, sickness
2. Season of spring – hope, new beginnings, opportunities
3. Season of summer – signs of growth, need for protection, an abundance of distractions
4. Season of fall – successes and achievements, failures
What season are you in?
I feel like my mind and body are finally catching up with my heart and emotions.
Lately, I’ve been very aware of the seasons of life that we all must face.
Some are enjoying some beautiful fun filled bright days with opportunities and growth and dreams being filled right now….perhaps in the season of spring or summer.
Others are experiencing heartache, loss, suffering, sickness, loneliness….perhaps a season of winter.
We must all pass through these seasons and we will experience each season many times in our life. So if you are in a challenging season, don’t give up hope; don’t compare yourself to, perhaps, what others are enjoying right now. I can tell you…better days and brighter seasons are coming. AND the more times I face the winter season, I can honestly say, the more I appreciate and value and cherish the other seasons.
