Celebrating a Legacy of Giving
Since its formation in 2001, the Wake County Ancient Order of Hibernians has been a beacon of charitable support and cultural preservation in the Triangle area. With approximately 100 dedicated members, we've woven the rich tapestry of Irish history and culture into the vibrant fabric of our community.
In 2023, we proudly marked a monumental milestone, surpassing $100K in donations to both Irish causes and local community needs.
We partner with the Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade committee, where we've not only provided financial support but also lent our hands and hearts to ensure its success year after year.
Our charitable endeavors extend far beyond, touching the lives of those in need through organizations like Helping Hand Mission, Tri-Area Ministry, 3 Bluebirds Farm, Brown Bag Ministry, Wake Enterprises and Urban Ministries. With each donation, we are sowing seeds of hope and compassion, embodying the spirit of our faith and heritage.
As we continue our journey, we invite you to join us in making a difference, one act of kindness at a time. Together, we can write the next chapter of generosity and goodwill for generations to come.

Happy Thanksgiving Day!
🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America! 🦃
As we gather with our families and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, let’s take a moment to reflect on our rich heritage and the blessings of the past year. Our organization, rooted in Irish tradition and brotherhood, has always stood for community, charity, and the celebration of our shared history.
Today, we express our gratitude for the strong bonds of friendship and solidarity that unite us. We remember our ancestors who journeyed to America, bringing with them the enduring spirit of Ireland that enriches our lives today.
Let’s also extend our hands and hearts to those in need, remembering the true spirit of Thanksgiving is in giving and sharing. Whether it’s through community service, helping a neighbor, or simply sharing a meal, every act of kindness echoes the values we hold dear.
As we enjoy the warmth of this holiday, let’s carry forward the legacy of our forebears - one of resilience, community, and hope. May your homes be filled with joy, laughter, and the company of loved ones.
Sláinte and Happy Thanksgiving!

Great entertainment and craic yesterday at our division’s movie night! We enjoyed hot dogs and popcorn, and had a blast watching "Waking Ned Devine." Thanks to everyone who joined in the fun. ☘️🎥🌭
Happy Halloween!

☘️**Celebrating Éamon de Valera: A Pillar of Irish History** ☘️
Greetings to our esteemed Members and Friends of the Ancient Order of Hibernians,
Today, we pay tribute to one of the most influential figures in 20th-century Irish history—Éamon de Valera. Born on this day in 1882, de Valera's legacy as a revolutionary leader, statesman, and architect of modern Ireland is unparalleled.
🇮🇪 **A Life of Dedication** 🇮🇪
From his pivotal role in the 1916 Easter Rising to serving as both Taoiseach and President of Ireland, de Valera’s unwavering commitment to an independent and sovereign Irish nation has left an indelible mark on our shared history.
📜 **A Legacy to Inspire** 📜
As we celebrate de Valera's birthday, let us reflect on his dedication, vision, and resilience. His journey, filled with both triumphs and challenges, serves as a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Irish people.
🤝 **Unity, Friendship, Charity** 🤝
May we, as members of the AOH, continue to be inspired by the likes of de Valera. Let's uphold our values of unity, friendship, and charity, building on the foundations laid by our forebears.
At our meeting last night Father Duggan showed us his new Irish Missal. He is looking forward to learning Irish and offering the mass in Irish.
