“April showers bring May flowers.”
While this phrase can be taken literally, it can also be interpreted metaphorically. In its literal meaning, the rainy month of April gives way to the blooming flowers of May. It can also be interpreted to show that a period of hardship can often provide a basis for a period of happiness.

We share this fun fact because we have found photos in our archives collection from when a hot air balloon landed behind the Campus Center at Alvernia in 1978!
