Shasta County Probation Department
Official page of the Shasta County Probation Department. #SaferCommunitiesBetterLives.
Our Probation Officers have been providing mutual aid to Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office during the .
As always, we’re ready to assist our community and neighboring counties when in need, and our thoughts are with those who have suffered losses or been temporarily displaced.
There are many firefighters and public safety personnel currently working these fires, despite the triple digit temperatures and safety concerns. To them we say thank you for your courage and please stay safe!
It’s time to get your team together for the second annual Golfing with the Stars!
This activity is held by the Addicted Offender Program (AOP) Alumni group, operated under the Shasta County Chemical People, to support the current AOP participants. Funds could go toward overdue PG&E payments, dentist bills, shoes, a bicycle as a mode of transportation, deposit for housing or something else they may need to support and benefit their sobriety.
Space is limited and preregistration is required. Sign up now to support them!

We’re celebrating Probation Supervision Week all month here in .
Probation provides a multifaceted, integrated safety model through accountability and opportunity to address the behavior of individuals through supervision and linkages to programs and services. Staff work hard and go above and beyond every day to support public safety and the community.
That’s why we’re taking the time to thank them! Our staff are the best!
Congratulations to Abigail Cree, Melissa Radford, Tamara Stein and Justine Meyer for graduating from the Addicted Offender Program (AOP) today!
Each graduate got to go up and share their success story, along with their old booking photos as a part of the ceremony. AOP is an intensive collaborative treatment program which is designed for non-violent repeat offenders who are addicts, serious about recovery, and willing to make the commitment necessary to lead a life without drugs and alcohol. We partner with Shasta County Health and Human Services, the court system, the Public Defender’s Office and the Shasta County District Attorney's Office to make this program possible and provide a solid support team around each participant.
These graduates have been through a lot because of addiction. AOP takes years to complete, and all four of them have made that commitment and changed their life. Congratulations again! You have a bright future ahead of you.
Have you ever felt like you just have too much blood in your body? I know I have! That’s why I was happy to lead the charge to donate blood at Vitalant.
But my blood isn’t enough! Donors are desperately needed right now, and you can save three lives by donating just one pint. Our goal is to get 100 people to donate, so bring friends and family members along, too.
Sign up to give sometime during the month of July. You’ll be glad you did… you even get free snacks and ice cream after!

On 05/23/2024, the Shasta County Probation Department and State Parole conducted a multi-agency operation at the Sundial Lodge and Deluxe Inn, also known as the No Boundaries Program, in the City of Redding. At these locations, officers contacted approximately 35 offenders who reside in the program and are currently on probation or parole.
Of the 35 offenders contacted, 2 offenders were found to be out of compliance with their terms and conditions of probation and parole. 1 offender was arrested for having fentanyl and drug paraphernalia in his room and 1 offender was arrested for 3 felony warrants.
Members present for the operation included the following agencies: Shasta County Probation Department, State Parole, Redding Police Department (Neighborhood Police Unit and Bike Team), and Shasta County District Attorney's Office. Operations such as this will continue, to ensure offenders on probation or parole are abiding by their terms and conditions.
