June 30th, 2013 at 4:41pm was the last time radio communication was heard from the Granite Mountain Hot Shots on the Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona.
At 6:35pm, medics on a DPS helicopter confirmed 19 of the hot spots crew of 20 had died.

Today we remember and honor the men of the Granite Mountain Hot Shots, who lost their lives 11 years ago. We remember their names and their families and friends left behind. We remember the lone survivor of their crew who was separated while serving as a look out earlier that day. We honor their memories, their service and their bravery.

Rest in peace, brothers.

Hands-only or sidewalk CPR is a simplified version of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation aimed at pushing blood and oxygen through the body with chest compressions only.

Step 1: Call 911
Step 2: Apply chest compressions.

Songs with 100-120 beats per minute can help a person keep the correct pace while deeply pressing. The American Heart Association recently added Taylor Swift’s “The Man” to the top songs to help practitioners keep pace.

Here is our list of the top songs to pace your hands-only CPR:
“The Man” – Taylor Swift
“Stayin’ Alive” – the Bee Gees
“Crazy in Love” – Beyonce feat Jay-Z
“Hips Don’t Lie” – Shakira
“Walk the Line” – Johnny Cash

Operation Red Santa was a great success this past Saturday! We had the amazing opportunity to bring gifts to some local families in our community! We are so incredibly lucky that we are able, along with help from both the Redding Salvation Army and CalPortland, to be able to bring holiday cheer to some families in need.

Huge thanks to CalPortland for the incredible support and donations that they gave to make this event possible! We can not thank you enough for coming along side us in the community, making it possible for us to make our outreach even bigger! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts!

Also, huge thank you to the Redding Salvation Army for providing the majority of the gifts and allowing us to better serve our community!
