💜 Caregiving is a multifaceted responsibility involving direct care, encompassing physical and emotional aspects, as well as various services to meet the daily needs of individuals unable to care for themselves. This support extends to friends or loved ones and typically occurs within the home environment.

💜The Redding Rancheria recognizes the challenges caregivers face and offers monthly Caregiver Support Groups. Specialized classes, such as "Caregiving Tips for the Holidays" and "24/7 Caregiving," are provided in December. These sessions aim to equip caregivers with valuable insights and skills to navigate specific challenges during the holiday season and continuous caregiving.

💜As a thoughtful gesture, lunch is provided during these sessions, enhancing the supportive and communal nature of the Redding Rancheria Native American Family Caregiver Program

We are very proud of you Craig Wages Jr

WELCOME CLASS OF 2024!
Meet Craig Allen Wages Jr.

At birth, Craig was life flighted from Truckee to San Francisco where the doctors told his parents he would not make it. But, Craig’s father had other plans for him. Craig Sr. fought to get the doctors to help him, and after an emergency surgery with a new technology at the time, he persevered and made it through.

Craig's family, originally from Shasta County, moved back in 1992, at the age of 8 because it was a great place to raise his kids. The people and connections made in the small tight knit community of French Gulch, helped shape Craig to be a helpful and caring person.

In 2005, Craig began working with Win-River Resort & Casino. Utilizing the skills and lessons learned from his parents and Grandparents, he set forth to serve any and all people with respect and the highest level of customer service possible.

The Redding Rancheria has supported Craig Jr., and given more than a job. They have provided purpose and helped Craig become the best person he could be. They have provided him the chance to display his natural abilities and expand his skillset so that he can achieve his dreams and help others do so as well!

In 2016, Craig stepped away from his career to help stay home and raise his two children. He prides himself knowing that his son, Craig III only went to day care for two days of his early childhood. The hardest thing he ever did, yet most gratifying; was stay home and raise his children.

In 2021, Craig was welcomed back to the Redding Rancheria where he currently supports community outreach, as Public Relations Specialist. You will probably find him smiling and spreading positivity to all he meets!

Craig is a joy to have as part of Leadership Redding Class of 2024!
