Our 16th Annual Spring Showcase is this Friday! This is a free community event. The doors open at 5 pm. From 5-5:30 there will be a slideshow featuring artwork by our Digital Photography and Advanced Art classes. The show starts at 5:30. Student Council will also be conducting a Silent Auction to raise funds for students events. Come support our amazing students!

How Do You Want To Learn?
We are dedicated to the academic success of our students. Shasta Charter Academy, formerly Shasta Secondary Home School, is one of the oldest charter schools in California. We began operating in 1999, as a charter school of Shasta Union High School District. We are a free, public, Personalized Learning charter school. While our headquarters is located in Redding, California, we are able to serve students in Shasta, Trinity, Tehama, Siskiyou, Modoc, Plumas, and Lassen counties. We meet the educational needs of our students using a learning model called Personalized Learning. We use a variety of instructional methods, including homeschooling, on-campus classes, online learning, community programs, or concurrent enrollment at one of the area high schools or Shasta College. Our educational philosophy is focused on taking into account student learning styles, and educational and career goals. We create personalized learning plans specific to each student's needs. Students are partnered with a fantastic teacher, who we call a facilitator, that is trained in Personalized Learning. Students achieve their goals using a multitude of innovative, powerful, and proven educational models. Parents support their child's learning as they remain the essential force in affecting values, attitudes, and beliefs. Teachers are facilitators of discovery, mentoring and consulting with families regarding educational choices. Student life at SCA is rich; we offer school clubs and competitive Forestry Challenge and Vex Robotics teams as well as a multitude of school activities. We have openings for Fall 2018.
