Community Foundation of the North State

Join us this WEDNESDAY, Nov. 22 for our annual Thanksgiving feast! Besides providing a delicious meal, we will have music! And decorations!

That's this Wednesday, Nov. 22, from 11:00am -1:00pm and also 4-6 pm.

We'll also have leaders from the community who will kick off both afternoon and evening meals with a warm welcome, words of encouragement and prayer.

Of course, this just isn't any meal we're inviting you to join. Your presence for this traditional family celebration would go a long way in making our guests feel like they belong ...instead of friendless, on the fringe, or like outcasts.

But it's not just for them. Loneliness is real. And it crosses all economic levels. Every social construct. So really, coming to share a Thanksgiving meal here at the Mission doesn't just benefit the people coming through our doors who have nothing to eat and no where else to go. It's for everyone who may feel alone and in need of community.

We look forward to seeing you there!

With Fall well underway, we wanted to send a shoutout to all the wonderful volunteers, supporters, and donors we have had along the way. Their generosity has helped us get where we are today!

Shasta County's Housing & Community Action Program (HCAP) has moved to 2600 Park Marina Drive, Redding, CA 96001.

Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Staff is available by email ([email protected]) or phone (530-225-5160).

HHSA's Economic Mobility Branch recently welcomed HCAP under the ECHO (Employment, Community, Housing and Outreach) Division. Both departments often serve people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The move streamlines services and helps individuals and families get back to self-sufficiency sooner.

We are at it again! We will be holding another Independence From Hunger Food Truck Event! This event will be Saturday, July 15th from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at our West Redding location at 3685 Eureka Way, Redding, CA. 96001.

We will have a $6.00 Tri Tip Sandwich Meal, $4.00 Hamburger Meal, $2.00 Hot Dog Meal, $1.00 Snow Cone and $.50 Popcorn.

*All meals come with your choice of Potato or Macaroni Salad, Drink and chips*

All proceeds benenfit The Salvation Army Redding Corps and Shasta Senior Nutrition.
