The California Child Care Resource & Referral Network released the first episode of Season 2 of The Love Connection podcast. Consisting of 10 short episodes, the podcast shares the stories of Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) providers and the parents who rely on them. They will be releasing a new episode every Tuesday.
With support from First5LA, the podcast is part of an ongoing, multi-year FFN bias project aimed at contributing to narrative and policy change. By sharing heartwarming stories from parents and providers, we are showing decision-makers that FFN care is as valuable as other forms of child care.

National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW), April 22-29, highlights the importance of protecting infants and young children from vaccine-preventable diseases. This year, a primary focus is to ensure families stay on track for their children’s well-child visits and routinely recommended vaccinations.
Vaccines are among the most successful and cost-effective public health tools available for preventing disease and death. Vaccines help protect both individuals and communities by preventing and reducing the spread of infectious diseases.
