Had a wonderful ✂️ at our latest completed construction project. We are so proud of our construction team for finishing up this house. It was so great to see them celebrate their success!

We are having a ribbon cutting at our most recently finished construction project, an affordable home, on Friday at 10:30 at 1141 Black Canyon Drive in Shasta Lake! Come by and celebrate our success🔨

The top three donors will get to choose a gift bag that includes a cutting board or coaster set made in our woodshop, a tote bag with our School of Choice logo, a hand painted and stamped Thank You card from our art class, and a sweet treat made by our culinary class! This North State chef's farm-to-table holiday cooking inspired by Cottonwood grandma Redding chef and culinary arts teacher Sadie Krueger learned to cook for thousands at Simpson College, but first cooked from scratch with her grandma.

We're thrilled to announce that CHYBA is spicing things up this year with the launch of our brand-new Culinary Program! 🧑‍🍳🍴Our Culinary Program teaches students basic cooking techniques, knife skills, food safety, sanitation, and food preparation. We are so excited to add this program to our growing list of activities that keep our students engaged with the learning process!

Happy birthday to two of our AMAZING CHYBA staff, Dannette Tona (Reception & Admin. Assistant) and Joe Meis (Transportation)!

Joe enjoys playing hockey, billiards, and fantasy football 🏈. Make sure you ask him about his time playing hockey in school!
