We thank the California State Legislature for acknowledging the dedication of our 8,638 CASA volunteers who have supported 12,022 children in foster care across California. Together, they’ve contributed an incredible total of 409,495 hours of service. We applaud the unwavering commitment of CASA volunteers throughout the state who champion youth in foster care. Whether in court, at school, or in the community, they tirelessly work to ensure these children have a voice. Let’s continue to champion the incredible work of CASA volunteers!

CASA is a program that has been providing advocacy to children in the foster care system for many years. The program currently has recruited, trained, and supervised more than 168 volunteers to provide ongoing support and court advocacy to children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. These children need support and a voice, and that is the role of their CASA volunteer.

We're so thrilled to have them join our mission of advocacy and grateful for the commitment they've made to the foster youth of the North State. 💙

We are sad to announce that the CASA Spring Soirée on April 1st has been RESCHEDULED. This is due to the weather conditions that have unfortunately flooded the roads leading to the event venue. This was a tough decision for our team to make because we were incredibly excited to come together for an afternoon full of fun and connection. However, our guest's safety is our utmost priority, and we want to ensure that everyone stays safe and dry. In the meantime, we're looking at dates in August.

If you purchased a ticket for this event, one of our team members from the Development Department will reach out via phone in the next couple of days. We have also sent an email to all ticket purchasers, so please check your inbox for more details. If you have questions on how to get a refund or any other concerns, please call or text us at (530) 248-0374.

Funds raised from the event support the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Butte, Glenn, Shasta, and Tehama Counties, which provides volunteers to mentor and advocate for abused and neglected children in the foster care system. The program’s goal is to provide these children with a consistent person in their life whom they can rely on, and they ensure that the child’s best interests are considered in the decisions being made. Even as the child goes through multiple placements or their school and friends change, their CASA is by their side every step of the way.
