Thursday, April 20, is Flex Day at Cañada. There are no classes, and Cañada offices and services are closed for the day.

We had a great time today at the OYE Latinx Youth Conference! Thanks so much to our amazing panel for "I'm First" who discussed the challenges they have overcome, sharing the message that you can succeed too!

OYE is this Saturday! I'm already hungry. I hope to see all of you this weekend!

We will be serving FREE breakfast and lunch at the OYE Conference on Saturday! There will be a wide selection of both meals, with catering by Redwood Catering. Come enjoy an array of bagels, parfaits, fresh fruit, and breakfast bars in the morning and flavorful burritos during lunchtime!

A senate bill (SB 893) was written to provide free community college to students in San Mateo County. It passed the State Assembly and State Senate; Gov. Newsom just needs to sign it. A Cañada College student is petitioning Gov. Newsom to sign the bill. Take a look here:
