Incorporated in 1930, Congregation Beth Jacob was the first Jewish religious institution created between the cities of San Francisco and San Jose. The handful of men who founded our synagogue were almost exclusively Polish and Russian immigrants, including three chicken farmers and a cabinetmaker, among the more than 2 million Jews who had fled Eastern Europe between 1882 and 1910 in search of a b

Dinner, Sacred Drumming and Havdalah
We will together form a sacred practice community through sacred music, layering on rhythm, niggun (wordless melody), and simple repetitive words. We will be accompanied in our sacred jam by several musicians competent spiritually as well as musically:
RebbeSoul Bruce Burger, on balalaika and guitar
Dan Cantrell, on Klezmer accordion
Bring your own drum or instrument if you'd like. No experience necessary.
Optional dairy/vegetarian potluck dinner at 6pm followed by the jam session at 7pm and concluding with havdalah.
This is an interfaith event open to everyone. Join us for this unique experience.
Drum Shalom - Ruach Hamidbar
Led by Rabbi Tsvi Bar-David. Reb Tsvi teaches how to get into the G!dzone through music. He also teaches Jewish meditation, spirituality and mysticism.
