Latinas in Power (LIP) is partnering with the Latino Research Center for an impactful event. This event will explore the challenges facing Nevada’s Latina workforce and discuss strategies for achieving equality. Continuing LIP’s series of one-of-a-kind events, this session will delve into the findings of the University of Nevada, Reno’s Latino Research Center, which revealed that Latinas have much lower weekly incomes than their counterparts and are typically paid just 57 cents for every dollar paid to White, non-Hispanic men.
The event will feature a frank and open discussion about three key factors contributing to these disadvantages, ways to advocate for equity among Latinas in the workforce, and specific recommendations for the state of Nevada. Joining us as panelists are our very own LIP members, Jafeth E. Sanchez and Patricia Guerrero! https://www.latinasinpower.com/empowering-latinas-inthe-workplace.html
