A HUGE Thank you again to Country Star RAY SCOTT for putting on a great concert for our Bourbon Barrel Club Members, and loving on High Mark Distillery a little bit!

I will never forget how truly sweet that was for Ray Scott & Justin Meyers (Ray’s very accomplished guitar player) to casually remember from one conversation the night before, while we all sat at a little bar in Virginia City, that my all time favorite song is “Seven Spanish Angels”. Then they spent 2 hours in their hotel room the next day, learning my song. And, surprised me with singing it for all of us at the High Mark Concert!
And, I will never stop blushing 😊 from Ray Scott singing his song, “How’d you get in those Jeans”using my name, and making the entire crowd crack up! 🤣
Ray and Justin endeared themselves to our Bourbon Barrel Club for life! What a great concert this summer!

Do you ever show people how to make their own American Peated Whiskey (SCOTCH) in your Tasting Room in Reno?

A: YES!! We sure do! Felicia orders in the peat from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and Ireland 🇮🇪 to smoke the Barley, and teaches the coolest steps. 🥃👍

Q: Does it turn out well?
A: Oh, Absolutely! 🤩 It’s smooth, peatey, and tastes like the old country. Felicia’s Scottish relatives can be proud, to be sure! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We were honored to have the Ray Scott Band play acoustic! 🤠 🎸 🎶 🤩Are you kidding! How blessed are we!
Ray Scott has played the Grand Ole Opry 66 Times! What a voice. And Justin Meyer played guitar- he’s quite incredible too, and smiled the whole night- that’s how much he loves playing guitar… or maybe it was our High Mark Bourbon. 🥃 😃
We had a great BBQ catered by Butcher’s Kitchen Char BQ. Mmm- those slow smoked rib tips and Cajun shrimp! Yum! 🍖 🍤 🥗 😋
The Bourbon beverages and signature cocktails were flowing! And, each Barrel Investor received a Big Bottle of High Mark Distiller’s Reserve Bourbon- smooth and tasty. 🍹🥃😎
And WOW! Did everyone LOVE branding and signing their own barrels, with our High Mark Distillery Branding Iron! 🔥

Cherry time!! 🍒 I harvested our Rainier Cherry trees for hours yesterday.
When they are Ripe, it’s Go Time!

•Off of each tree, we yielded over 14 lbs. of perfect cherries. 🌳 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒 (Seriously- 14 pounds, An Incredible harvest this year!!)
• 10% of the cherries were left at the top of each tree for wildlife to snack on- 🐿️ squirrels, 🦅 birds, etc.
• Our High Mark Cherries are 100% Organic- the Aphids tried their best to attack, but I added a little baking soda paste to the trunks. Next year, I am trying an aphid spray made out of red peppers and garlic. And adding a lot more lady bugs to each tree! 🐞 ❤️🐞❤️🐞
• Lots of these delicious cherries will be soaked in jars with our AMARETTO this year!!! They will be added to our house specialty cocktail- The High Mark Old Fashion!

I mean… it’s pretty dang cool to make the Bourbon from scratch, make the Amaretto from scratch, then grow the Cherries that garnish the Cocktail too!
I’d say ours might just be the most HOMEMADE OLD FASHION in AMERICA! 🇺🇸 🧑‍🌾

All Nevada Senators, Nevada Representatives, Airport Authority guests, and Governor’s Office guests - that attended the Ribbon Cutting for the RENO AIRPORT Expansion Project and MILITARY dedication ceremony - received a very smooth bottle of our Bourbon, a nice rocks glass to commemorate this historic event, and hammers to honor the construction crews that worked their tails off all winter to complete this project on time, on budget, and with zero injuries!!
