FOOD FOR THOUGHT
You can avoid alcohol, drugs, sugar, salt, wheat,
dairy and carbohydrates your whole entire life,
You can exercise, meditate
and focus half your day on your health...
But if you are swallowing your dreams,
your ambitions, your regrets, your fears,
your desires and your bitterness on a daily basis,
you will suffer my friend.
For nothing,
nothing,
rots the flesh more,
than the negative emotions,
we ram down our own throats,
on a daily basis.
Food for thought.
Say your truths,
live your own way,
be yourself,
accept who you are,
accept who others are too,
share your dreams,
honour your desires,
chase your ambitions,
or don’t.
Perhaps your ambition is quite simply to be peaceful.
Whatever it is you choose to do,
give yourself peace.
It’s the most healing and rejuvenating path of them all.

bouyancy: noun
1. The tendency or ability to float in water, air, or some other fluid.
2. An optimistic and cheerful disposition.
(Oxford Languages)
Sunrises and sunsets are the end of one thing, and distinct beginning of another, and they have a lot to teach us about moving on.
When we take time to acknowledge our transitions from one thing to the next, it helps us change gears more fluidly in addition to giving the mind a moment to rest and reset.
As you complete a task or activity, try taking a walk outdoors, getting a drink of water and stretching hands toward the sky, or closing the eyes and taking a few deep breaths before moving on to the next thing. Let me know how it goes.
Instead of over-committing and under delivering, why not stop over-committing. Two letters form a complete sentence. No. "No" can be your strongest ally in a busy life.
The paradox of letting go. There's a lot of talk about letting go of things that no longer serve us. But sometimes we don't know we're holding onto things that no longer serve us.
Home is not always the house you grew up in. May it always be the place you grow from. Here's one of my favorite pieces by Mary Anne Em Radmacher.
How often do you postpone or limit eating, sleeping, exercising and other self-maintenance measures, only to fall ill or sustain an injury just as you were about to defeat the dragons you were trying to slay?
Well, I had planned to say deadlines, but my phone said it better. I mean, who would try to slay a dragon if they hadn't been taking care of their well being and health? Yeah. Me too. But I'm working on it.
Meditation isn't about silencing the mind, it's about allowing our silence to free the mind.
Apparently my wandering mind forgot to change PM to AM. Better late than never? Wherever you wander, enjoy!
This is a message I repeat often. Our culture has lauded productivity and criticized idleness so often and so loudly that we've forgotten the need for rest. REAL rest, the kind where we are not reading, watching a screen or anything else "productive." Start practicing... National Nap Day is just a few weeks away!
Learning is winning. The more you know...
Don't allow the harshest words you ever hear to come from within.
Wellness is not a number on a scale, or an eating or exercise plan. It's finding what makes your life one you don't feel the need to vacate.

I'm hosting this summer retreat with my Rad Vibes Rising partner and we're both super excited about the content we're building to support you in living your dream life!
We still have space available!!
Solstice Summer Camp is June 23-25, 2023
Nestled on the western flank of Mount Hood, along the gorgeous banks of the Sandy River, is where you'll find our luxe cabin in the woods. The light, bright accommodations, and stunning views are the perfect hub for a Rad Vibes Summer Solstice retreat.
With nine queen sized beds, arranged 2-4 per room, you'll get the camp vibe with a lot more comfort than the rustic cabins of your youth. Oh, and if it's solitude you prefer, while sleeping, there is one private room with a single queen bed. But only one :)
Solstice is the pinnacle of light, here, in the northern hemisphere, and we think that's something to celebrate. Each of us has a passion and purpose, and that's what fuels our internal fire.
Connecting with like-spirited women and nature, alone, is retreat-worthy. And, not to sound cliche, but, there's more!
As we share delicious, nutritious meals, immerse ourselves in the beauty and nature of the forest and river, we'll feel our body and mind begin to unwind. Together, we'll engage in activities suitable for every body. You'll experience the awe and wonder of Mount Hood, originally known as Wy'East, and the spectacular star-spattered night sky. And, you'll discover the what lights you up, while crafting ways to keep the internal flames burning.
Are you ready? Space is limited. The registration link below will take you to a variety of choices that make the process simple and trouble-free.
See you at Summer Camp!

We celebrate the return of the tulips, daffodils, and cherry blossoms. But we often forget to celebrate the beauty of our own existence. Today, celebrate your presence and importance in the world. You, alone, are reason enough.
So many reasons to walk... health, fresh air, contact with nature... Here are a few ways to keep your walks interesting...
**Meditation: This is a natural way to meditate. It's how you sometimes end up a mile down the beach (or path) before you look up. Take in your surroundings and let your mind focus on the rhythmic movement of the arms and legs, the sensation as your foot comes in contact with the ground, rolls through, and uses the toes to push off the next step...If random thoughts are distracting you, try the "swipe" method of swiping right to store the thought for future consideration, or left, to release the thought for it's next destination.
**Communication: buddy up in person, or put your earbuds in (for safety, make sure you can still hear the sounds around you) and call up someone you'd like to visit with. It's easy to focus on the conversation while the body is in motion, without other distractions.
**Observation: try a new route, or just pay closer attention to the details on your normal route. There are so many things we stop noticing after seeing them so many times.
Do what you need to do to maintain your equilibrium and well being. P.S. That might mean some things have to change. And that's okay.
It doesn't have to be a daily grind...
This goes for peaceful existence with ourselves, too. If there's a battle going on within, look for a peaceful resolution. Get help if necessary.
The urge to compare ourselves to others is a trap. Purpose and timing are very individualized.

Emotions can be especially tricky when we carry the old ones around.
Today's thought is brought to you by spring weather. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, but for today, it's full-blown spring in my neighborhood!
Sometimes, the point is less about striving and more about allowing the process to unfold.
I wish you joy and good health, as winter gives way to Spring's promise of new life.
Sometimes we forget that compassion isn't only for other people. Speak to yourself in the way you would speak to an innocent child, or a hurting friend.
