The Anson L. Clark Summer Research Program is a summer research program for incoming freshmen at UT Dallas. Students join active research groups and launch their research careers through an intensive summer experience. For Summer 2018 applicants, the first application deadline is coming up on January 3. Please join us on September 28 at 3:00 PM in the CV Library for a meet and greet with Author David Wright, Professor of English at the University of Illinois. He is a former Fulbright Fellow to Brazil whose life story and experiences are as interesting and compelling as his written work. Wright’s in-progress novel tells the story of the Union army’s “African Brigade.” This unit made up of former slaves made a three-week long raid into North Carolina, from where most of the men had fled and still had family in bo***ge. Hurricane Harvey Relief - Office of Student Volunteerism - UT Dallas 08/29/2017

To help those affected by Hurricane Harvey, the Office of Student Volunteerism (OSV) has compiled a relief effort guide for the campus community. The OSV is working with various groups, including student-athletes, to collect contributions from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily through Friday, Sept. 1, at a tent on Trellis Plaza. A variety of services, including the Comet Cupboard for students, are available to assist with stresses related to the storm. The Counseling Center is encouraging students seeking support to come by. Similarly, the Employee Assistance Program is available to faculty and staff, as well as their family members.

Please keep all those impacted by Hurricane Harvey in your thoughts during this difficult time.
