3 Pro Tips for your hot water heater…
1. Stop what you’re doing and just glance at the pan. If there’s water (especially rusty water) call a plumber. You have a leak and it’s only a matter of time before it gets worse. You might find yourself without hot water for days. It’s not fun!
2. Consider installing a larger drainage valve to make your yearly drain faster. Draining once a year can prolong the life of your unit by helping reduce sediment buildup. BUT…before you do check the warranty information to see if this alter your coverage.
3. Once you replace your hot water heater, take marker to it and write the date you did the work. Your realtor, inspector, plumber, and buyer will thank you!
