Blending EMS and mental health to make a better paramedic program.

Donate to Help Erik Salvatori Become a Clinician, organized by Nathan Koranda 07/19/2024

Erick Salvatori lives and works as a paramedic in Tanzania. He helped with our training in January of 2024 and is looking to continue his education into clinical medicine. With his permission, I set up a GoFundMe for him. He only needs another $400 to enroll in the upcoming semester. He has already raised $1,200 on his own. This is a worthwhile investment into an incredible individual. Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hennepin EMS protocols include treatment for patients experiencing opioid withdrawal 06/12/2023

“Our members see the terrible toll opioids have taken in the communities we serve. This is a great tool that lets our paramedics and dispatchers increase their involvement in holistic harm reduction strategies.” – Paramedic Shane Hallow, HCAPE Union President

This is a wonderful initiative. We are lucky to have medical directors like Dr. Nick Simpson and Dr. Tim Ku**er who are willing to work with the community and addiction medicine to pave a new path forward. We also want to give a huge thank you to the Hennepin County Association of Paramedics and EMTs. HCAPE has really helped advocate and lead the way on some important initiatives that address equity and access issues for those with substance use disorder in Minneapolis.

Hennepin EMS protocols include treatment for patients experiencing opioid withdrawal Hennepin EMS – the primary emergency medial services provider for 14 municipalities in Hennepin County – is now carrying treatment for patients experiencing opioid withdrawal symptoms.
