Virginia Agriculture in the Classroom was exceptionally well represented this year with not one, but TWO National Winners! They were celebrated at the NAITCO conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Our state teacher of the year, Amy Goodyear, was selected as one of six teachers to achieve the national Teaching in Excellence award. She was only one of two secondary teachers to be selected.
Carter Humphries, a 4H Extension agent who works closely with AITC as an ambassador, received the Partnership in Agriculture Literacy award provided by the Grange Foundation. Only one person receives this award!
Congratulations to Amy and Carter! We are proud of your hard work and creativity. Thank you for your dedication to educating Virginiaβs children. π π
