LifeStream is excited to offer a PASTA (Parenting a Second Time Around) workshop in Wayne County in partnership with Head Start and Strengthening Indiana Families! This is an educational support group for anyone offering kinship care for other children, such as grandparents raising grandchildren or an aunt raising a niece or nephew, in need of support and resources. Please note: RSVP is required for this workshop.

Due to the City of Richmond closing in honor of officer Seara Burton, Early Head Start will be closed Monday 9/26/2022 to allow staff members to attend the services.The program will resume normal operations on Tuesday 9/27/2022.

Early Head Start’s Story

CAECI Early Head Start is operated by Community Action of East Central Indiana (CAECI), a private not-for-profit organization established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 to fight America's War on Poverty in East Central Indiana. Since 2010, CAECI Early Head Start serving infants, toddlers, and pregnant women with home-based and center-based services. Our home-based option consists of one 90-minute home visit per week during which a trained Family Coach provides support both to the enrolled child as well as the child’s parents. (Due to COVID-19, home visits have been suspended and contact is being made via telephone and video chat/conference.) Our center-based option consists of 6 hours per day, 5 days per week in mixed-age classrooms in our licensed child care facility. (Due to COVID-19, each of our four classrooms is currently operating only two days per week.)
