I have gotten several calls today asking if we are a "Weight Loss Clinic" so I figured that it would be best addressed to a multitude.

To answer the question specifically: No, we are not a "weight loss clinic".

However, we DO have programs that will help you lose weight. We are a functional wellness clinic that works on your bio-individual needs to help you heal and become the best version of you! Everyone is different and what you may need to help you lose is not the same as some one else.

We have the Global Weight Loss Program that is a comprehensive program that includes supplements, diet and lifestyle changes, massage with Olivia Cates Massage Therapy, aroma touch with Ashley, personal training with Transcend Training, infrared sauna visits, and nutritional support. This program will help you lose weight, improve your mental health, and make lifestyle changes to help you keep the weight off.

We also have the Healthy Immersion program that is a very in depth program that helps identify any problem areas that are causing havoc in your body. Once those problems are identified a plan is made to help treat those areas. Through the treatment and improvement in your health, weight loss will naturally occur and your symptoms will be healed at the root.

We have infrared saunas that help with weight loss and detoxification of the body, all while helping you heal. The saunas are FDA approved to help with aging, skin health, and pain associated with arthritis. Studies have also shown them to help with weight loss, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, and many other ailments.

We also do different types of testing to determine health issues that could be causing weight. We can check your thyroid, hormones, gut health, cardiac health, food sensitivities, and many more tests using blood, urine, and stool.

So, YES, we can help you lose weight! Do we use any of the quick fix gimmicks that can cause more harm to your body such as Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, or Adipex .....absolutely not! Is there a time that these medicines are needed, yes (but that is only in a few cases).

We are here to help heal you heal and increase your quality and quantity of life. You may be able to lose with a shot or a pill, but unless you are putting in the work to change, I assure you it will come right back.

With the consumption of overly processed foods and lack of exercise, the health of Americans is declining.

According to research published by Medical News Today, researchers found an association between ultra processed foods and all causes of mortality including: breast cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, poor sleep, anxiety, depression, asthma, hypertension, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, obesity, metabolic syndrome, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and hyperglycemia, among other diseases and conditions.

They reported a 50% increased risk of deaths related to cardiovascular disease, a 12% higher risk of type 2 diabetes, and a 48% to 53% higher risk of anxiety and mental disorders.

High intake of ultra-processed foods was also found to be associated with a 21% increased risk of death from any cause and a 22% increased risk of depression.

Ultra-processed foods include items such as instant noodles, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, ready-to-eat meals, sugary cereal, packaged baked goods, snacks, and soft drinks.

“These "foods" resemble nothing of its natural ingredients. An ultra-processed food has been stripped of its nutritional value (essentially). It also has many ingredients, including food additives (i.e. hydrogenated fats, modified starches) that are not used in home cooking. These foods are mainly of industrial origin and can be stored for long periods of time,” Dana Hunnes, PhD, a senior clinical dietician at the UCLA Medical Center who was not involved in the research, told Medical News Today.

Over the past 50 years, the health of Americans has gotten worse, and now 71% of Americans are overweight or obese—not 66%, which was reported 5 years ago. That means a staggering 100 million people in America are obese. Today, eating processed foods and fast foods may kill more people prematurely than cigarette smoking according to a report from the CDC.
