They definitely all have a few things in common, though. Solving problems, never having the same day twice, meeting new people, using my creativity, and helping people reach their goals or tell their stories. I love all of those “past lives,” but real estate definitely ticks all of my boxes, and I still love it as much (or more) as ever.

I’ve had a lot of conversations about gratitude, and having a gratitude practice, over the last week or so. Part of this has been a result of unexpected deaths, and making sure your affairs (financial, business, and emotional) are always in order, and part of it just because I recognize the huge impact that having an actual gratitude practice has made for me.

My gratitude practice consist of writing three things that I am grateful for, along with something I will do for myself that day, and something I will do for others. Every morning, without fail.

Some days it’s really easy and things come spilling out, and some days it is harder to come up with some thing. But I always do, and it always sets my day off in a better direction.

So I’m curious, do you have a gratitude practice? If you don’t, I definitely recommend you try it! Give it a week, or a month, even and see how you feel! (And how you act!) I bet you will want to keep it!

Thinking back on Q1 (how are we already more than a quarter into 2024??)

⚪️ Said farewell to some awesome clients who sold their homes and moved across the country and across the world.
⚪️ Welcomed some fantastic new clients from New Jersey, Iowa, and Utah.
⚪️ Helped some renters become homeowners.
⚪️ Gave a LOT of RVA tours.
⚪️ .wilckens and I completely overhauled our relocation guide. (it is our magnum opus, so if you have anyone moving to the area, send them my way!)

In other, less real estate related terms…
⚪️ Still reading 10 pages/day nonfiction and added 10 fiction. (I used to read constantly! Back to it!)
⚪️ Gratitude journaling daily is one of the best habits to stick to!
⚪️ I went to my first Ninja Installation in CO and it was a game changer in my biz and life.
⚪️ I’ve sworn off fast fashion for good. Capsule wardrobe ftw.
⚪️ One of my goals for ‘24 was 2 notes/day and almost always hit it. The “make people happy” payoff is huge!

Trust me, even though over buying may seem like a great idea to get what you want, you will find it is the albatross in your life. Just don’t.
It really is sometimes better to find the one that makes you believe I you can fix it, really I can.

this is an exciting time, when you are buying your first home, but reach out to me first. Don’t be the one who says, “I look in other people’s” windows. no one likes that, and it is trespassing. Even when the house is on the market. Just call me first- and not to say you were just out of the slammer. (That won’t help your case when you find the house you love.)
Just hang in there, and we’ll find one that will make sure you never say I hate it here.

While I have to say so long to Allie for a week while she is in Italy, who’s afraid of little old me here solo? (Well, me, a little, because she is my right hand!) But it will all be good and I’ll manage.
