Have you heard the news? While the changes to many of the ways real estate is "done" changed nationally on August 17, they changed for us here in Central Virginia almost 2 weeks ago.

A few things to note:
⭐️ If you're buying a home, you will now need to sign a buyer agency agreement with your agent before you view any homes.
⭐️ You could be liable for paying your buyer's agent, but the good news? Most listings we've seen recently are still willing to cooperate with you on getting your agent paid, so in most cases, you're not going to have to come out of pocket.
⭐️ If you're selling, you don't *have to* pay a buyers' agent. You can, and you may want to, but it's not mandated. (Prior to this change, you only "had to" pay $1, so this is not a huge change)
⭐️ You don't need to sign anything to go into an open house and tour. (The agent/seller may require you to sign in, but that's always been the case.)
