VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY! Join Rivers & Lands Conservancy staff on Saturday, August 17th for our LAST volunteer oak watering event of the summer at our Cienega Canyon Preserve! We're looking for volunteers to help us hand water young oak seedlings planted by local community members and students earlier this year to help give them their best chance of survival through the summer heat. Today was the last homeschool pod class of the year! These kiddos explored with their animal friends, built primitive structures, competed in a foam airplane competition, and launched awesome bottle rockets. Oh yeah, pizza and ice cream sundaes are the only way to celebrate the end of the year! Hope to see you in September to join us in all the fun!
