Kiwanians at the Riverside Arts Festival recruiting new members!!

The KIWANIS Club of Riverside adopted Longfellow Elementary School as a project many years ago. In its continuing effort to support the children of the school, the Club has donated playground equipment, books for the library, conducted food drives and given away thousands of pounds of turkeys and trimmings at Christmas. One of the main concentrations has always been, each year, the gifting of bicycles to the school for distribution at Christmas as well as many other toys for the children at that special time of year. The Club’s entire membership participates in hopefully making some child’s Christmas a very happy one.
Here we are at Halloween. So many children are denied the fun and privilege of decorating a pumpkin. The Club decided to donate as many pumpkins as possible for kids to carve or decorate. They were able to raise enough money to purchase 55 pumpkins and donate them to the Longfellow Fall Festival. Thanks to Gless Ranch for helping us achieve our goal.
Special thanks to Alicia and Ken for picking up the pumpkins and delivering them in time for the Festival.
