The veterinary shortage: A vicious 4-part cycle infographic — Vets Are People Too The veterinary shortage worsens with each iteration of the cycle. Vet numbers are decreasing and the pet population keeps growing.

This brother/sister pair came in for their first visit today and got some snuggle time with Uri! Let’s hear some name suggestions as they are still awaiting names!

Dr. Licata had the honor of teaching several local law enforcement officer’s emergency first aid for their K9s today. She also got to spend some quality time with her favorite officers “Ollie” and “Ranger”.

We had the honor of meeting our new patients Canine Officers Ollie and Ranger as well as their IPD officer handlers and the The Chief of IPD. Dr. Licata gave them a clean bill of health and they are ready to go to work. We are so proud to welcome these amazing dogs to our Lakeside family!

Drs Licata and Appleton and manager/technician Tammy had a great time learning this week at VMX 2024. We can’t wait to implement all of the state of the art things we learned at Lakeside. And yes we had a little fun too !

From January 12th-17th our hours will be modified somewhat as our Doctors will be attending important and mandatory continuing education meetings. We appreciate your patience during this time. Our doctors attend state of the art conferences annually in order to provide our patients the best care. If you have an emergency please refer to the previously provided emergency facility list.

Our new friend Charlie Barbie came in for her first puppy visit yesterday and got to snuggle with our assistant Laura! We can’t wait to watch her grow and see how big she gets!

Dr. Appleton’s dogs, Brimmie and Piggy, want to wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween! They sure are ready to fiesta today!
