If you’re wondering who we are, we’re Bible Study Fellowship—an in-depth Bible study unlike anything you've experienced before.

In BSF, we go beyond the surface to unlock the beauty of God's Word over 30 weeks. This year, we’re diving deep into the book of Revelation! With our four-fold approach—answering questions, discussing in small groups, listening to teaching, and exploring biblical commentary—you’ll gain a deeper understanding and be able to apply Scripture, whether you've been reading the Bible for days or decades.

But BSF is more than just teaching a passage. We equip you with tools to study the Bible for yourself. We believe anyone can do it—yes, even you! These tools are for a lifetime, and you can carry them with you wherever you go.

Pilate asked a riveting question in John 18:38 that consistently rises across the reaches of humanity: What is truth?

This is the question we all ask when we try to make sense of this broken world. 😔

Pilate and the Jewish leaders rejected ultimate truth in favor of their own distorted reality. They focused on the ways of this world rather than those of heaven. 🌎

❓What truth directs your life and molds your priorities?❓

John 18 urges us to embrace God's answer: the battered man who stood before Pilate—God in human flesh!

Jesus embodies truth and leads us to truth. He died to break the stronghold of sin and lies that entrap and enslave people. With Jesus as the source of truth, life's deepest questions find their highest meaning. 🙌🏽 🙌🏽 🙌🏽

I got the privilege of joining a day of prayer with HQ staff and board of directors and former staff yesterday through Zoom with other teaching leaders and area advisors. 🙌🏼🙏❣️

This week, 101 BSF Staff members from around the world have prayed for you! Thank you for joining us in a prayer inspired by John 17:20 ⭐

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

Christians are like branches that draw their life from the vine 🍇

This intimate union allows Jesus's love, joy, wisdom, and purpose to flow into His children through the Holy Spirit. Abiding in Christ yields a flourishing life and the fruit of salvation!

Even though we are separated from Jesus physically, abiding in Him comforts and empowers believers 🙌🏽

Why did Jesus say He was "the way, the truth, and the life?" Why these three things?

Let's explore the meaning of each one in the Bible! 🔍

✨ WAY: "salvation is found in no one else" (Acts 4:12)
✨ TRUTH: "I have not come to abolish [the law and prophets], but to fulfill them" (Matthew 5:17)
✨ LIFE: "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent" (John 17:3).

There is only One that saves. There is only One that gives life. There is only One that reveals God. There is only One that fulfills all promises. This is Jesus Christ 🙌🏽

Like the aroma of a freshly baked loaf of bread or a freshly picked flower, the disciples' special love for one another would exude a beautiful testimony as they loved like Jesus loved. 🥖 🌸

Jesus's love is unconditional, immeasurable, sacrificial, and all-encompassing. All people would know these men as Jesus's disciples by their extreme and supernaturally motivated love for one another. ❤️

But Jesus did not stop with these eleven men; this command to love applies to all His disciples—past, present, and future! The love and unity of all believers represents the identifying hallmark of their relationship with Christ.

What an amazing testimony to a conflicted world! This unique God-given love mirrors the way God's people have themselves experienced Jesus's love.

What does it mean that Jesus is our shepherd?

The Bible helps us understand this beautiful image for God.

🐑 Psalm 23: David wrote, "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul."
🐑 Jeremiah 23: God promised a coming Messiah to save His people, saying "I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid."
🐑 Ezekiel 34: God condemned the corrupt leaders of Israel, calling them bad shepherds, and proclaiming, "I myself will search for my sheep and look after them."
🐑 John 10:11: Jesus identified Himself as the "good shepherd" that was promised.

What a beautiful fulfillment of promises! Like a shepherd keeps his flock from danger and leads them to good pastures, so will God Himself protect and provide for us.

We all want to hear from God. How do we learn to listen to His voice? 🎧

Bible teacher & author Anne Graham Lotz (+ former BSF Teaching Leader 🙌🏽) shares about her experience finding peace in a season of grief & uncertainty by learning to listen to God through His Word.

She writes, "While I don’t hear an audible sound, there are times when God speaks directly through the printed page, into my heart. His Word has comforted, encouraged, directed, rebuked, strengthened, sustained, while giving me peace and hope." ❤️

Jesus says He is the "gate" or "door" of the sheep... what does that mean?

Let's look to the Bible for clues! 🔎🔎🔎

🗝️ Matthew 7:14: "But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life."
🗝️ John 10:9: "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved."
🗝️ John 14:6: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
🗝️ Acts 4:12: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."
🗝️ Revelation 22:14: "Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates."

John has one urgent message for us: Jesus is the only way to eternal life.

As Jesus proceeded through His day and week, He intentionally saw the blind man. With a heart of compassion, a sense of God's agenda, and zeal for God's glory, Jesus paused to speak to a man whom others ignored. ❤️

We often live our lives at seemingly breakneck speed with constant demands on our fleeting energy. We have places to go and things to do. Our calendars are full, but sometimes our lives feel surprisingly empty. 🗓️😔

Our human limitations mean we cannot meet every demand or need before us. But like Jesus, we can seek God's agenda for the time we have. God leads His people to show kindness to those the world ignores!
