The annual Montgomery Can Code summer camp ended on high note at the Student App Showcase on August 13, at the Apple Montgomery Mall store. Six groups of student finalists shared app protoypes, ranging from finding MCPS SSL opportunities to mental health and wellness support.

With over 160 hours of class time, plus study time, and riding time, this accomplishment is no easy feat. Not only has she been serving the community with us, but Melissa managed to complete the certification requirements while also continuing to be a devoted mother, balancing an impressive career as a college professor, and occasionally squeezing in some time to pursue her passion as a photographer 📸. Her dedication, hard work, and ability to juggle so many roles inspire us all.

Looking for a family fun event next Tuesday, August 6? From 6-8 p.m., there will be a free community-building event with information, giveaways, raffles, and a DJ at the Montgomery College Germantown Campus. This event is sponsored by Montgomery County Police Department, Montgomery County Government, The Upcounty Hub, and MC's Public Safety Department.

Prof. Bucciantini, a Latin and English professor who also serves as an embedded coach through the Achieving the Promise Academy (ATPA), adores her students.
