✨ Our Origin Story Part 3 ✨

"Sometimes God takes you on a journey you didn't know you needed, to bring you everything you ever wanted."

Fast forward many years, and you'd find Jessica struggling with burnout, anxiety, and feeling disconnected in a few diff areas. Spending time with horses and simply enjoying the sights and sounds of the farm eased these struggles. The farm became a refuge, not just for her, but also for her family, friends, and the families she served in social work. You have to experience it to understand it. Everyone always seemed to leave feeling lighter and with more joy in their hearts. Moms, kids, and families—some struggling with depression, trauma, and untold hurts—would find joy, connection, and positive experiences. Even if it was fleeting, at the farm, all seemed right in the world.

A pivotal moment came when Jessica attended a conference through work and gained her certification in the SPUR model: an approach using horses to build relationships and emotional intelligence. From that point on, everything clicked and the storyline became clear. The previous work experience and skills she had learned as a helping professional, event planner, preschool teacher, and entrepreneur, along with her personal struggles, passion for helping others, and of course love for horses - it all made sense now. The desire to bring joy, peace, connection, and improved wellbeing to others’ lives using horses and nature culminated in the birth of VEZA Experience!

Its purpose:

1) To create space for personal growth and improved wellbeing in a unique way.
2) To create enriching, joyful experiences.

Even in the darkness, there is beauty. While much of NWA is reeling from the devastating tornado damage, we are so encouraged to see the outpouring of community support. Churches, businesses, groups/individuals coming together and helping one another with food, supplies, manpower, laundry, and so much more. The stars are there. ✨

We will be hosting a supportive equine experience soon for those impacted. Praying for you and with you!

Veza friends, THANK YOU to all who have reached out to check on the herd and P&P Legacy Farm.❤️ Power line/trees/fences down & a small shelter, but thankfully that seems to be the only damage. Pretty much all the horses on the property enjoyed some impromtu time together in one pasture until temp fences were arranged.

Again, super touched by all of you who reached out with concern. Please keep NWA in your prayers in the days ahead. So much destruction. 💔

With this quote in mind, we once again return to childhood memories on the family farm for PART 2 of our ORIGIN STORY. Picture a young girl filled with pride as she plays hostess to friends and family. “Want to go for a ride? Let’s find eggs! Want to meet my goat Nelly?” It didn’t occur to me until recently that of course it feels so natural to give tours at P&P Legacy Farm with all the barnyard animals because it was rooted in me as a child! Our sweet lil family farm at one time or another enjoyed cows, horses, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and of course cats & dogs.

What an absolute blessing to return to childhood nostalgia and partner with P&P Legacy Farm to play hostess once again through this VEZA venture. To create meaningful experiences for others. Don’t let the gray hair fool ya - there is still a kid at heart excited to take you by the hand and show you the joys of farm and nature.❤️

The story of Veza Experience would be wildly incomplete without starting from the beginning. So let me introduce you to a horse-crazed little girl named Jessica. And a gray shetland pony named Ginger. You see, Ginger was the one who truly started it all. She was magical. Gentle. And she knew her job well: to teach all the kids in the family how to love horses… and how to ride. All three children took their turn in her saddle. Enjoying years of trail rides & parades, countless hours of trotting the rolling pasture hills, the trick riding and stunts. It was a magical time indeed. But the years went by and as all children do, one by one - the three tiny riders grew up. They moved on to their big kid horses. They moved on to young adulthood. But they NEVER OUTGREW THEIR LOVE FOR GINGER. ❤️ She lived well into her old age on the family farm until it was time to cross the Rainbow Bridge. She is legend now in our hearts and her legacy serves as our inspiration for creating magical horsey moments for others.

One year ago today. We got the early morning call from our farm family. P&P Legacy Farm had suffered a devastating barn fire. Precious small animals, feed, hay, tack & heirlooms, equipment, shelter... all gone. It's hard to even look back at photos from this time. BUT.

They serve as a reminder of God's faithfulness of RESTORATION.

While our launch of Veza may have been delayed many months due to this tragedy, I can humbly say that God was gracious to us in the waiting. We are now coming up on our 6 month of Veza Experience and are just overwhelmed with gratitude for the new memories, laughter, and joy that have graced this sacred space again. God's way of bringing beauty from ashes. 💛

THANK YOU to all our Veza friends for being part of this redemption story. We know this farm has captured your hearts too. & the best is yet to come.

Watching V with Marshmallow will melt your heart EVERY time. She is currently our youngest lesson student. She is TINY but MIGHTY and so much fun to watch as she learns the basics of horsemanship. Stay tuned for video of her showing her skills!
