Lincoln Parish 4-H Talent Show
Do you have a talent that youβd like to show off? We would love to have you represent Lincoln Parish 4-H showing off your talent! This yearβs talent show will be held on October 3rd in the Howard Auditorium at LA Tech. You MUST pre-register. Your club leader has the registration form and can share it with you and we have also attached it here. Sign in will begin at 5:30 pm and the show starts at 6:00 pm. Junior Division (Ages 9-13) -Dance, Vocal, Instrumental, & Other. Senior Division (Ages 14-19) - Dance, Vocal, Instrumental, & Other. Contact the 4-H office at 318-251-5134 for all other questions. The registration deadline for entries is September 27th.
Stop by the the Lincoln Parish 4-H Office today to get registered for the Treats & Crafts Workshop. The fee is $25 and you must bring cash or check ONLY. No electronic payments are accepted. Cash must be in the exact amount. Deadline to register is October 18th.

September Newsletter is HERE!!! In the coming days, your child's school will be having a club meeting and will receive a paper copy of this, along with a BINGO card, and an order form for the fall fundraiser!
Please read over the newsletter, highlight important dates and events, and have your 4-H'er complete the game on each newsletter!
It's that time again for Sweet Potato and Pecan fundraiser! You may mail your orders in to us or bring them by in person.
The pecans are delicious, especially the milk chocolate covered ones! So get your orders in. These order forms will be sent home with your child from their September club meeting, but you can save the image below and use it also.
Please remember we do NOT accept credit or debit cards and any cash must be in the exact amount as we CANNOT provide change. Checks should be made payable to Lincoln Parish 4-H. All ordering information is on the order form below. Pick up will be in the AgCenter parking lot on November 21st starting at 8:00am.

Lincoln Parish Homeschool 4-H is Getting in the Game and scored a WIN at the Ruston Christian Homeschool Open House yesterday. Me, our Homeschool 4-H Volunteer Leader, Mrs. Amy Crittenden, and our Homeschool 4-Hers, Davy and John Kelly, enjoyed visiting with so many families about 4-H. I am always so delighted to see one of my past 4-Hers. Millie was a freshman in high school when I started as the Lincoln Parish 4-H Agent. Now I have 3 of her kiddos as my 4-H Members! 4-H is definitely a family tradition!

Day 7 of the 2024 Lincoln Parish Schools Prep Days 4-H Tour took us to Dubach School and Cypress Springs Elementary. Thank you to one of our ALL STAR 4-H Parent Volunteers, Mindy Martin, for gathering a great TEAM of 4-H recruits at Dubach.
I met so many RISING STAR 4-H TEAM Members while visiting with the Cypress Springs 4th & 5th graders and their awesome parents!

Registration is now open for βDiversify Your Farm: Raising and Processing Small Livestock, Poultry Processing Workshop. This is part of the Homesteader Series leading up to our 2024 Louisiana Homesteader Conference. This workshop is organized by Grow For Food and sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation. This will be a hands-on experience. Spots are limited to 20 and attendees much 18 and up.

Yesterday I had the distinct honor of being able to present the 4-H School Enrichment HEALTH ROCKS! curriculum to the Lincoln Parish Schools 3rd-8th grade P.E./STEM educators at the 2024 Lincoln Parish Schools Professional Development Day to begin the 2024/25 school year. Thank you so much to Lincoln Parish Schools Administrators for allowing Lincoln Parish 4-H this opportunity to reach more youth in Lincoln Parish with this valuable curriculum aimed at reducing substance abuse. I look forward to working with these educators by providing the supplies, tools, and resources they will need to implement this program in their classes this school year.
Day 6 of the 2024 Lincoln Parish Schools Prep Days 4-H Tour takes us to I. A. Lewis and I was able to catch up with some of our ALL STAR 4-H Summer Campers!
Day 5 of the 2024 Lincoln Parish Schools Prep Days 4-H Tour took us to Choudrant Elementary School where 4-H Adult Volunteer, Valerie Chatellier, and 4-H Jr. Leader, Andy Lynn, helped Lincoln Parish 4-H add some PHENOMENAL new members to our 4-H TEAM!
Day 4 of the 2024 Lincoln Parish Schools Prep Days 4-H Tour takes us back to Ruston High School to visit with the Juniors and Seniors. Thank you to 4-H Jr. Leaders, Womble and Gracia Jackson, for Getting in the Game to support 4-H at our RHS Prep Day table!
The Upcoming Homesteader Series: Backyard Fruit and Nut Production is scheduled for September 14, 2024. We still have seats available.

Mrs. Amanda visited with some TOP RECRUITS at Ruston Elementary. She was happy to see RES 4-H Club Leaders Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Knight! Everyone is GETTING IN THE GAME with 4-H!
