St. Cloud COP House
The St. Cloud Rotary Richard C.
Wilson Community Outpost is a community orientated policing program that allows the police department to build relationships with the community. Starting from an idea originating in Racine, WI, these COP Houses have lead to an improvement with property maintenance, reduced crime rates, and build better community relationships between neighbors and the police.

What better way to spend a fall Friday evening than at a pumpkin patch! Our PAL (Police Activities League) program transported kids from the Southside neighborhood to Stoney Brook Farms Inc. for a pumpkin filled evening! They had an amazing time getting buried in the corn pit, getting lost in the corn maze, riding the tractor wagon through the pumpkin field, and trying out all the different activities the pumpkin patch offered. We thank the folks at Stoney Brook Farms Inc. for the warm welcome and wonderful memories! π₯°
Thank you Rotary Club of St. Cloud for giving up your afternoon to do a fall cleaning of the COP House! It looks really great in here!! We very much appreciate it ππ

The Police Activities League (PAL) brought about 25 kids to AirMaxx Trampoline Park for an afternoon of jumping, backflips, dodge ball, splits, and loads of fun! We thank Jason and the staff at AirMaxx Trampoline Park for making this a great experience for the kids!π
Over the last three years, Women of Worth (WOW) has been mentoring and leading our young women while building lifelong values to include wilderness skills, teamwork, and leadership. Through partnerships with our COP House Fishing Crew and Les Voyageurs Inc., our young women have learned skills, and had the opportunity to pitch a tent, canoe, fish, hike, and learn basic wilderness survival all while having fun. All these skills have challenged but also built self-confidence in these wonderful young women.
From adventurous day-trips to State Parks, to our trip to Snowbank Lodge in the Boundary Water Canoe Area (BWCA) this past August, our girls have traveled to different parts of Minnesota doing different outdoor activities! Thank you Snowbank Lodge and Outfitters for hosting us!
Many thanks to Zach Fritz of Les Voyageurs Inc. for all your help as well! We also want to thank every past presenter, mentor and volunteer that has contributed to our program and these amazing young βWomen of Worthβ ladies these last three years.
After months of fishing and wilderness training, the Fishing Crew put their skills to the test in the Boundary Waters. They spend four days surviving in the wilderness and put their fishing skills to the test. This year they found the walleyes and caught enough for two meals. The Crew persevered through the challenge and came back feeling confident in their wilderness survival skills. It was a fun trip and a great way to close out the summer season.
In other news, check out the next episode of Minnesota Bound airing this Sunday evening! They will be featuring the COP House Fishing Crew and our fishing event on Lake Peppin.

In partnership with Minnesota Conservation Officers Association, COP House Fishing Crew & staff took about 40 kids from the Southside Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota and drove them to Lake George for an afternoon of fishing! The Conservation officers brought their boats so the kids could experience fishing on the lake. Most of these kids have never been on a boat or gone fishing before, so this was quite the experience for them! We thank the Minnesota Conservation Officers Association and St. Cloud MN Park and Recreation for their patience with the chaos and helping create these wonderful memories! We also thank the Conservation officers for donating fishing equipment to the COP House for future use.

171 kids! A new record for the 4-day COP House Soccer camp!! New friendships were made, new soccer skills were learned and the kids gave the staff a run for their money this year, but we matched their energy and put on the best camp EVER!! The season has officially started for the 2023 COP House Fishing Crew! The COP House Fishing Crew is a summer-long program for high school-aged young men that ends with a trip into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. We kicked off the season by going to Lake Pepin where members of the St. Cloud Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 464 volunteered their time and expertise to get a ton of walleyes in the boat. We kept plenty of fish and we will be having a big fish fry!
In other news, we are excited to announce Minnesota Bound will be doing a story on the COP House Fishing Crew! They accompanied us to Lake Pepin to get footage for the story and we will let you know when it will air.
