George Floyd Murder Trial:

What does the prosecutor have to prove for 2nd degree murder and 3rd degree murder (3rd degree charge is being debated in the Court of Appeals)?

2nd degree- have to prove Chauvin intended the ASSAULT (not the murder) that eventually lead to the death of George Floyd (unintentional murder basically)

3rd Degree - have to prove that Chauvin’s reckless behavior lead to eminent danger without regard to human life (his reckless behavior caused death but wasn’t intentional and wasn’t an intended assault)
