Did you know that Hamline librarians offer virtual and in-person appointments, visit classes, and participate in Ask a Librarian -- a 24/7 staffed by an international cooperative of English-speaking academic librarians? There's nothing they love more than connecting with people, and connecting people to resources.

Did you know that not everyone who works in a library is a librarian?
Today is National Library Worker's Day, celebrating the hard-working, dedicated, non-librarian library staff who keep things running... including the paraprofessional members of Bush Memorial Library -- Danika & Meredith!
Danika is a rockstar! A member of our Resource and Acquisition Management team, she assists in purchasing and renewing academic materials the library offers to students & staff, and coordinates physical & digital interlibrary loan requests, which expands access to materials via our network with partnering libraries across the nation!
A frequent face behind the Central Service Desk as one of its three coordinators, Meredith has been with Bush Memorial Library since 2016 (and yes, runs these social media accounts).
The self-proclaimed 'Queen of the Barcodes,' Meredith oversees your library accounts, handles all billing for overdue items, manages the library's inventory of books/technology/etc, partners with Danika on your physical interlibrary loan needs, and answers many of your IT questions!
Although perhaps the most important part of both Danika & Meredith's jobs are supervising the AMAZING teams of Hamline student workers!
Danika's team processes many incoming & outgoing materials that keep the library's gears turning each day behind the scenes, and Meredith's CSD team are here for all your library & ITS needs.
Let's hear it for NATIONAL LIBRARY WORKERS DAY!!! Libraries couldn't function without their amazing paraprofessionals.
You can honor the library worker in your life by submitting a star for them on the ALA-APA Galaxy of Stars. https://ala-apa.org/nlwd/
