Metro Transit will host an annual stakeholder update on the Zero Emission Bus Transition Plan. The virtual summit will provide an update on the transition to zero-emission technology including successes and lessons learned in the last year of battery-electric bus operations. Over 100 people recently joined Move Minnesota for our Livable Lyndale Rally & Bike Ride!! Raising our voices together for a safe street redesign and riding Lyndale Ave South as a big, joyful group was a fun and meaningful way to close out Bike Month. Thanks to everyone who came out to show your support for bike lanes & bus lanes on Lyndale--including our incredible Minneapolis volunteer team and awesome partners Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota, Joyful Riders Club & Slow Roll MSP!

We had a great time with middle-schoolers at SouthSide Family Charter School last week talking about the power of public transit! Some of our favorite quotes from the students:

"They were talking about car pollution 30 years ago. They're still talking about it now. That means we need to do something NOW!"

"I learned having a car is TOO expensive."

And our favorite: "I'm gonna ride the bus EVERYWHERE!"

Afterward, a community member overheard us discussing the success of our lesson at a local coffee shop. He said "as a kid who took the bus from East Saint Paul to Minneapolis on the regular, I would've loved to have this class! When you're a teenager, things are hard. Having guidance like this makes a difference."

We are so grateful for all the schools and students we have gotten to work with over the past two years, and we are excited to see how students continue their journey on transit! 🥰🥰
