Hurricane Idalia Update!🚨

The storm made landfall on Florida's Gulf Coast and was upgraded to a Category 4 hurricane this week. It has since moved east into Georgia and submerged neighborhoods leaving a trail of debris in its path. 🌪
Hundreds of thousands of people have been left without power across the Southeast. Fears over the possibility of severe flooding remain as Idalia, now a tropical storm, heads out to sea again.

Strong winds and coastal storm surges are still likely to occur, but the majority of the storm has moved off the North Carolina Coast out over the Atlantic Ocean.

BREAKING NEWS! 🚨
Idalia touched down Wednesday near Keaton Beach, marking the first hit from a major hurricane in this coastal area since 1851.
Power is out for more than 44,000 of Tallahassee residents and 24,000 or more Talauin residents.

It is expected to to have winds reaching over 110 mph with “life-threatening” conditions from the National Weather Service.

28 of Florida’s 67 counties have an evacuation order in place. Schools have also closed in many counties.
